    Did you bother to read the two different links you posted? Your first link methanol Claims that methanol is made from fossil fuels (not to mention the fact that they have no idea what in the hell they are talking about kinda like the originator of this thread). Then your second link (BTW the accurate one which happens to be from "The Emergency Medicine and Primary Care Home Page" which is a resource for docters etc... Which states correctly the it is made by distilling WOOD not the fossil fuels that the other scare site claims. Hell I thought everyone knew that methanol was WOOD ALCOHOL! They taught us that like in 4th goddamn grade science! Holycrap! The things people will post here.... especially the jackass who started this thread who needs desperately to extricate his head from his ass but unfortunately it's so far up there it's already come back out his mouth.... -Mce

    So let's see: Gold was $20 an ounce in 1934. Hmmm.... he could have kept the $20 instead of an ounce and would have had all that cash instead of gold, which is worthless per ounce today. HUH? Gold was US$321.90 at the close of the market on last Fri. That's hardly worthless.

    I like how you complain a bit further in the thread about people complaining about spelling/grammar errors.... Mute is not a spelling error for moot. It also would not be a grammatical error as it is not a syntactical issue either. It is that you you make yourself sound quite like an illiterate when you use such a common phrase and can't get it right. Moot is not mute and have very different meanings. Buy a dictionary...read it...then read it again...then cross reference words in it while reading it yet again...then be able to post if at leaft a half literate fashion...     Actually it's only 8 lines of code to make a function in PHP to do that...
    Wrote it out in about 2 min on paper.
    it works, and I'm not a great coder by any means.
    So I don't know if that's truly a good test.

    But only if it's running desqview so that you can have the mail server and the web server on the same box! What a shame that linux wasn't around in the BBS heyday(well it was there toward the end but it was quite rough around the edges and in the chewy center back then too)... BSD was but man it was a nightmare to install on an avg machine back then...

    Well I tell you what... Try refurbishing an inop antique mechanical adding machine sometime. That is quite a daunting task (quite amazing devices really) But it can be quite rewarding. I have to say that I enjoyed the one that I worked on, and actually got to work even! Soooooo many levers and springs wheeee!

    Hey dude just a FYI.... Per the Linux manpage hdparm(8) -X66 is for UDMA Mode2 (ATA33) Transfer Support. -X34 is for UDMA Mode2 MultiWord Transfers. Also you should only have to use hdparm if you are still running a pre 2.4.x kernel anyway are 2.4.x and beyond support and are able to enable by default both ATA6 and ATA100.

    Aren't IDE drives still using RLL encoding? I've never heard of a change from this.
