Let's just make the **IA happy and say I was making a personal backup copy. The disk seems to have two sessions, a data and an audio. The audio session seems to be unreadable if you just put the CD into a Windows box and expect to be able to rip audio. Windows just seems to ignore the audio session. I suspect that the TOC has been screwed up.

My work around was quite simple. First turn off auto run because it will pop up an EULA when you put the CD in to install the Suncomm crap. I got an image of the CD fine with Alcohol. I then burned it with CloneCD. When I put the copy into the CD-ROM drive, iTunes picked it up as an audio CD. I can only assume that CloneCD wrote the TOC correctly.

As far as Linux goes, I only tried K3b and it could get a good image from the CD.

It depends on how developers use it. If they actually spend time and energy exploiting the second screen for unique purposes, it'll be cool.

But I have this bad feeling that other than a handful of Nintendo games and a few third parties, we are going to get a lot of mini-maps, item screens and playbooks.

Man ATi is a smart company. They are giving away these little paper coupons that people have to hold on to for at least good year before they are worth anything, but people feel like they are saving $50. Hell, they might never be worth anything. Whoever came up with that deserves at least, "Corporate Minion of the Month."

So anything from the company they paid so much for? Any word of a Perfect Dark sequel, a new Banjo game or a Conker follow up? Or hell, even something original? I was holding out hope that they were holding out for this E3.

God, I loved that company back in the days of the N64. What the hell happened? I'd like to blame it on Microsoft, as they are generally responsible for all things evil in the world, but the company hasn't really released a good game for this generation of consoles. I can see why Nintendo decided to take the money and run.

  13. Market Saturation on Sony Hit by Drop in PS2 Sales · · Score: 2, Insightful
Haven't they sold like 50 million of the things? Is it possible that sales are dropping off because there isn't all that many people who don't have one that want one? And considering that they don't make money off of used console sales, it's not hard to believe that profits are starting to drop off.

Sony needs to watch itself, and not pull a Nintendo. Nintendo was on top and then got stomped by the new guy, Sony. Sony's got the oldest console at the highest price. They need to avoid becoming arrogant.

How much is going to cost me for a second screen? How is this going to be laid out? Seems like a two screened GameBoy would be pretty akward. And the most important question, will there be a game that use the second screen in a unique enough manner to warrant buying this thing. Please Niintendo, I want to love you. For The Sims 2 to get me to buy it, they are going to need to let me play as someone else. I live in the subarbs, why should my character have to? Why does he have to work a regularly scheduled job?

I guess what I am trying to say is: Why does the Sims make us live a life that is so average? My life is pretty damn average, why should I pay $50(Plus a couple hunderd in "expansion packs") to live an equally boring life?
