Seeing those pictures reminds me of the Moonbase Alpha Command Center in Space 1999. I don't know if all those blinky lights were an actual computer, or just light boxes, but I do remember that they looked very modular and serviceable.
So it's pretty much established that you can get a high score on DK by using patterns. How well would these fellows fare at playing a different game? Is DK the only thing at which they can excel?
Lets face it, saying that you got high score on a 30+ year old video game by using patterns is not that impressive. Go back to 1983, and you'll be a hero. Today, you're just another loser.
A few years ago, I was able to transfer funds from my savings account into a friend's account because we used the same bank. I liked this because it was simple and straightforward. Of course the bank will transfer the funds... It's just moving numbers, and no real money even needs to leave the bank.
I now take you to late 2013, and I wanted to do the same thing again, but this time found that I had to "Sign up" for some service that would allow me to "Send money to anyone with an email account". I didn't want to sign up, and I CERTAINLY didn't want to provide the source and destination EMail addresses. I wanted to move money around inside the bank, and now it seems that isn't possible anymore. Maybe this JP Morgan system will bring that service back.
I can tell from your requirements that you really don't do anything useful with your browser except read news websites.
The rest of us who use web browsers to watch youtube videos, do any online shopping, or online banking will need something from this century. You can get along just fine with lynx.
Compaq had an LTE laptop with an integrated trakball in 1989. Of course, it was on the back of the cover....
The inclusion of a pointing device is hardly revolutionary. In Apple's case, it was needed because their OS was GUI based. IBM based laptops at the time could still run DOS, so it wasn't necessary to include a pointing device.
That's just the thing that will prevent this from actually being used. The whole point would be to SAFELY stop a car, but if you cause the driver to have a cardiac event, then you don't get funding.
That's a good idea to provide a code like that in case you are compelled to reveal the code under duress. Suppose that you were taken hostage, and the HT threatened you with harm unless you revealed the security code. You could tell them "123456", and they would get off your back, but when they tried to use it, BAM - Here come the cops.
However, if I was the HT in this case, and the hostage told me the code was "123456", I would slap them, just on principal.
Well, that's just the thing now, isn't it? Bitcoins are not shares of stock. They are currency. If I do as you say, and "borrow" bitcoins from party A, in exchange for cash, I haven't "borrowed" anything. I purchased the bitcoins (or rather exchanged US dollars for the same value of bitcoins). Transaction finished. There are a finite number of bitcoins, which is written into the code. It's not like some IPO that comes up with an arbitrary number of shares. What I do with *MY* bitcoins after that is my own business, but the transaction has already occurred. Now, is that transaction a "BUY" (because I bought them) or a "SELL" (because you sell them to me)?
I submit that it is neither. It's an even EXCHANGE (which, not ironically, is what mtgox is... an EXCHANGE).
Wreck-it Ralph, is that you?

Not to mention the fact that your disgruntled IT guy is NEWMAN from Seinfeld. What did you even expect from him?
It's just a typo. He really meant "I hate being a grammar nazi butt,"
Then they would need a LOT more storage, which means a LOT more money. They're trying to stay off the radar of congress....
Sharing is what MS and Sony want you to do with your content, while they refuse to do that with theirs.
Cave Johnson, is that you?

I'm curious... Are you a CTO, or a programmer?
I, too, would have no problem with a company paying a programmer $250K *IF* that programmer was ME.
Remember the episode where Wesley was coming out of the Holodeck, and as Picard walked by, he got hit with a snowball?
That wasn't snow.

I don't get it.
For someone to SELL bitcoins, wouldn't someone else need to be BUYING them?
I understand the notebook, but what do you do with the pin?
I wonder if they would accept a signed confession in WINGDINGS.
If your employees are using email programs that you don't want them to be using, then you're doing *IT* wrong.
Wipe all their desktop PCs. Reinstall OS. DO NOT GIVE THE USERS ADMIN RIGHTS!
No admin rights, they cannot install outlook. Problem solved.
Why do they even have a choice?
But in this case, it's the owners that are getting hot.
This might be a little less invasive:
