Carnegie-Mellon University officials today reported that several designs for metal keys to the new Gates Center for Computer Science, which hasn't even been built yet, were found on the Kazaa and Gnutella filesharing networks. CMU Campus Police and Microsoft are reportedly investigating the leaked keys.

Are these things coming preformatted for Windows/HP computers?
Well, I have a 3G Apple iPod that I originally used on my Windows PC (thus it was Windows-formatted), but I bought an iBook several months ago and have been using the iPod happily ever since, with no reformatting needed.
Thus, even if these are "Windows-formatted" iPods, they'll probably work with a Mac (and Linux) out of the box -- all one needs to do is obtain the latest version of iTunes for the Mac.
We're dealing with two hPeas from the same iPod here, folks. The only difference is the color of the box they come in and the software they come bundled with.
A couple years back, a professor of mine gave a talk entitled 'Is Microsoft Word Inherently Evil?' in which he outlined why the assumption of peoples' use of MS Word creates problems and what we can do about it. It's probably nothing that most/.'ers don't already know, but he presented this at an instructional technology fair for faculty and staff, so he's helping to make the issues known outside the Computer Science populace.
Triple points if they could get it to work with the other messenger services seamlessly. I would rather have one client, and be able to talk to everyone.
