Please point it out to me, or tell me where I can possibly find this file. I'm completely up to date with all patches, and have played things (no DRM'd files, though) in Windows Media Player, so the file should be there. I'm not questioning whether or not Microsoft would do something like this (I believe they most certainly would), but I need to see it with my own eyes.
From the BSDvault article, it seems to me that the updated EULA says that only Secure Content (DRM protected WMA/WMV files) could be blocked. I don't see why they would need to make a list of every file you've ever played to accomplish that. I think you're just (typically) stretching the story to the extreme.
