Actually, pandora.com does a really good job of playing what I like without playing what I don't. Check it out. Although I use it mostly to discover new music I like thats similar to music I've heard already...
As an owner of an ipod and an iRiver, I can honestly tell you that iTunes, while being nice for the general user, sucks for those of us that would like to be able to just copy music to a folder on our mp3 player and go.
That being said, the dynamic playlist generation in iTunes is by far one of the coolest features I've seen in software for an mp3 player. I can flag all my "most played songs" or flag all of my highest rated songs for a playlist. Want to rate your music? Create a dynamic playlist of unrated music. These playlists get updated everytime you sync your ipod to iTunes as well.
While this was a cool feature, I still intalled Rockbox http://www.rockbox.org/ on my ipod so I could use it as a portable hard drive and just copy my music to a folder.
The very first thing I did when I got my ipod was installed rockbox http://www.rockbox.org/ and got rid of the dependency on iTunes. I can now plug my ipod in, copy my music to it the same way I'd copy something to a normal hard drive, unplug it, and play. Its still got some issues, but the dependency on iTunes is gone, and the people working on it do a great job.
I have heard that PvP is going to be added in an expansion a few months after release.
I am also playing in this beta, and things I have to say about are "wow". The beta is more stable than any of the day 1 releases I've played in, and I've played in pretty much all of them. The devs are making changes based on suggestions people are making (holy crap, devs that listen?).
Its also fun, because you can pop on and play for thirty minutes and quit. If you're friends are hella high level because they play religiously, no sweat... you have the Mentor/Sidekick system. So basically, ANY levels can group together... no more getting left in the dust by your friends who have no lives.;)
It only takes longer to ship if you customize it to anything not completely standard. I.e. memory upgrades, hard drive upgrades, etc. If you take their cookie cutter laptop, it will ship next day.
That being said, I've never -ever- had as many problems with software as I do with Sony's software to burn minidisks. The software that comes with it is crap, and the SonicStage is only slightly better. My suggestion is don't buy another sony digital media product. Personally, I won't get another one. Which sucks, because I love my minidisk player, but its just not worth the effort to try and get music on to it.
I had a problem with my domain name providers as well. Some of the pictures I had taken and put up were noticed by my ex-girlfriend (and no they weren't pr0n.) and she called up the company and told them that I was infringing upon copyright and they shutdown my website. After explaining that she was a completely psychopath to the head of the company (dotster.org) he was very polite about it, apologized, and said that any contact from her would be ignored and if they had any issues they would contact me before anything was changed.
Long story short, call, talk to their manager, then their manager. Repeat as needed as high up the chain as you need to go to get them to listen to you.
The only complaint I currently have about my minidisc is the drm technology on it now. While you can copy any media to your minidisc using the supplied software (and any other software I've seen works the same way), you can only copy the media back onto the pc it was checked out from. If your pc crashes, then you're pretty much out of luck, and you better hope that minidisc lasts.
Not that I really like yahoo, I kind of think they suck, but I need easily accessible from anywhere email... but my marketing preferences have not been changed since I set them when they first came out. I've never had a problem with yahoo sending me spam... its everywhere else that sends me spam that I have a problem with.

I'm not surprised. For $100 I'd consider buying one just for the hell of it. There's nothing that I really want on it (until Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles comes out), but for that price, if I spend a few hours playing it EVER, then I've gotten my moneys worth.
I've actually had great luck in customizing movable type templates fairly easily. Being new to CSS, I'm still getting the hang of it, but if you don't like the central templates, just dump them all, strip out the div tags, and start from scratch. I did that with the one I'm testing and it works just fine.
As far as the 'funky RSS'... I've not done almost anything at all with that.
I'm really happy they're finally coming out with the fourth movie. The rumors I've heard are that Harrison Ford will be the 'old Indiana' and he will be looking back on the adventures of his youth? Not sure how well thats going to work, but I'm sure that I'll be spending my money at the movies when it comes out.
Are you using any sort of IP address that has been flagged by a provider as a dynamic IP address? AOL refuses email from ALL dynamic IP based servers... which kind of sucks for a lot of people that run their own servers.
You can get a used xbox 360 for about $120 from Gamestop now. That's what I've been using to get my media onto the big screen and it works great.
Right, but then eBay could have filed with Paypal saying that they didn't get what they paid for...
Duke Nukem Forever was in production a few times too, from what I've read.
Because "Use the Forth, Luke!" sounds much better than "Use the C, Luke!"

The reason? Why so narrow minded? i have TONS of reasons to have no respect for the US government. ;)
If this were true, why would the original Anti Trust suit against Microsoft won?

Thats correct. No one I know is willing to use mod_perl under a 2.0 environment because it has 'issues' according to the guys on #apache freenode.

I go out to eat often. I'm also a frequent movie goer and love playing darts if I can find people to go out with.

My only problem with this is 14 year olds all running around with huge tents in their pants. Talk about compensating...
I've had mine for 2 years and it still works great. I run my Zaurus and my Laptop off it.

What concerns me is the statement "The smallest Windows XP computer" ... Does that mean its proprietary?
