If you can stake a claim without having the ability to mine in space it allows early players to claim everything with little investment and tax mining that others develop. This would be against the best interests of everyone but the claimant. In order to stake a claim you should have to prove you can mine the resources you claim.

The 12 step program uses peoples existing religious beliefs, it proposes no new concept of God or belief. A 12 step program asks only that you admit you are powerless over your addiction and only a power greater than yourself can help you overcome it. There is no definition of what that greater power is, some people use God, some atheists find whatever concept works for them, but they all use the same 12 step program and it is the only thing that has been found to work so far. No I don't have any addictions and I'm not in a 12 step program.

One of the chickens flew out of the back yard the other day and a big crow cornered her in a hydrangea at the front of the house. I came to see what all the commotion was and scared the crow away. The chicken waddled behind me into the back yard and she hasn't flown out since.

Giving Police more power will corrupt them further. Legislators must remember that there are bad police officers who will abuse any power they are given. There has to be some counterbalance to the police or justice will fail.
I never made a brick by flashing the BIOS but I never solved a problem that way either. It was always a malfunctioning chip on the board that the BIOS can't solve.
I'm patenting signalling a city garbage truck that I have garbage to be picked up, by displaying my icon like garbage can at the curb side. The garbage truck thus informed of my need, stops and picks up my garbage from my signalling icon like garbage can. Then I will sue every city in the US for infringement.
