    You either need a Dataset or All of the data.

    I can send you a Dataset for your application needs or I can send you All of the data in a series of flat files that you can then manipulate with code/import to relational database.

    I reject the XML self documenting data paradigm, it's just not applicable to most business processes. You are relying on the originating XML document to follow your own in house rules.

    I want my data clean and neat and then I work my magic with it.

    I've been using a Franklin EBookman and then Rocket 1100 since 1999. I've read hundreds of books on them. The battery life on the Franklin sucked and the problem was compounded when a capacitor in it leaked and I would lose my data when I changed batteries(NIHM AAA's). I bought the Rocket a couple of years ago and am actually quite happy with the battery life. I can read a novel at night for several days(Couple hours before bed) before recharging. More life is definately better and I do not travel and read with it much.

    The Sony Reader looks great, but my 2 issues at first glance are:

    -Backlighting : This about kills it for me. I almost exclusively read at night in bed and this doesn't wake the wife up. Seems like with all of the very bright/low power LED's that run for a year off a watch battery they could have worked something out. Maybe backlighting just isn't compatible with EInk.

    -Screen Size : This thing is a good bit larger than my Rocket, but looks just short of being able to handle a pdf. If I could fit several computer manuals on this thing, I might forget about backlighting

    ESPN.com, which I stopped visiting when possible before Adblock now sends all links through x.go.com which is filtered out by this HOST file. Had to edit that one out.

    I wonder if this is intentional by ESPN.

    As things like these become more prevelant, some sites might just start setting up a proxy for their ad content so that it appears to come from the main content domain. The only option to avoid ads then will be to stop using the site.

    There is actually a 4-Tier income stream from Movies:
    Theater->Rental->PPV->TV

    This is done for a reason. As stated in the parent, they are not going to release a movie on DVD at the same time it is released in theaters regardless of some fancy RFID encryption. When we go to the theater we pay ~$7.50 or more Each Person. There is no way to control how many people view a DVD release, even on one fancy RFID enabled player.

    Consider you buy one of these fancy DVD players and SW3 has just released. You could pay $10(high) for the RFID enabled DVD and have a party with 30 of your friends to watch the new movie at your house the day of it's release. .33/person. 30 people would generate $225(@7.50 each) at the theater.
