hmmm, thats odd. In Ohio, a doctor signing a paper saying "this kid has ADHD", and after the Child takes a 2 hour test on basic school knowlage, the kid is intitled to a tutor, and the school gets 20 grand from the state to help the new special-ed student. Too bad that schools dont actually have to spend the cash on the kid! I had a 31 on my ACT freshman year, and was having trouble making myself do my homework. The school gave me a semi-retarded (I kid you not) tutor, who lost my study-skills worksheets, a broken 386dx, and a pencil.

I was wondering when somebody was going to mention this. GF was the last of the great games that told stories, the ol' adventure games. I will never know why people stopped making them. I agree, and a half hour a night is lucky. My older sister is a senior an takes AP english. My mother is taking classes over the internet to get a PhD. My sister does more work and writes more papers. This is not right.

Plus, if you add in any extra activity, (like..gasp! a sport!) which adds another two hours a night to school....its no wonder why us high schoolers dont get enough sleep. or commit suicide from the stress of a high preforming high school.

speaking of which, I think I ought to get off /. and get back to my paper on world war I.

I loved a lot of the old sierra adventure games of the late 80's early 90's and wanted to buy copies of the ones I didn't have. When I discovered I couldn't but them anywhere, I e-mailed seirra, asking for premission to download there stuff for free. The guy said he was amazed that I was still playing the games they made before I was even born, and I may download them with his blessing. He only warned me that they couldn't offer tech support. On the flip side, Lucusarts still sells their old games for 20 bucks a pop. I wonder if they make much money off them, they wouldn't tell me!

Besides, Sega has a horrible track record with Hardware. uh, no. Besides the Dreamcast, Sega's hardware was always been a cut above the rest at the time of release. The game gear was the most powerful portible system before the GBA, but had a really crappy battery life. The Genesis was a great system, but it wasn't marketed. Sega CD games were too expensive to make, and the list goes on.

this is true. Also, Sierra was one of the first companies to add lots of easter eggs to their games, thus adding to replay value. Those old, dos adverture games of the late 1980's early 1990's were truly great things. However, after kings quest 7, they all just vanished. I hope this new space quest will be good anf funny like the old ones. I'm sick of larry vales.
