Okay. So apparently we've all just given up on a quality analog format? And we've all just agreed that sampled and compressed is good enough? I'll be excited when they come up with a new analog format that doesn't break/scratch/melt/erase if you look at it the wrong way.
Because if Linus worked on any Linux code while working for Transmeta, then Transmeta might own the code, and therefore be held liable for the code if it copied Unix. I guess that's what SCO is assuming.
You are right, the accuracy stinks. So congress allocated some cash for Census to improve the data. My company won the contract. Read the press release here. My job is to compare the TIGER maps to locally collected GIS data as well as satellite/aerial images and make corrections as necessary.
WHenever I put it on it always seems to be hosted by people who don't really care about games. Like that show with the two girls on the couch who just bs. They never seem to know what they're talking about. The problem is that the pretty faces that belong on TV are not hardcore gamers, and the hardcore gamers who really have good insight are goofy, geeky guys that no network exec would ever dream of putting in front of a camera.
Why would someone drive to Best Buy to get this pre-paid card, then drive home to download the songs? While you're at Best Buy why don't you just buy the CD? It would certainly be cheaper than $14.85. Is it to make a compilation?

According to a Paypal rep, there have been 35,000,000 individuals who have used Paypal. There are just under 7000 people registered at the paypalsucks message board. That's about 1 in 5,000. To put that into perspective, according to this article , a Princeton survey found the odds of the Earth being hit with a city sized asteroid is also 1 in 5,000. The odds of having a bad Paypal experience are really pretty slim indeed. Don't believe the hype!
if there is no client software, then technically it could be easily configured to work with Linux and Mac or whatever else. If you need cheap dial-up access for Linux box this sounds like a good choice.

If history is any indication "plans for 2006" really means late 2007 or early 2008. Can you imagine what kind of market share Linux will have by then? I'm betting 10% of the desktop market. You read it here first.
"Among other activities, they are planning to play a game called 'Starving Artist' with 5th-9th graders, where students come up with an idea for a record album, cover art, and lyrics only to be told by teachers that they will only get $1 for every album sold and then still be $1,000,000 in debt to the record company. Then teachers will tell them that they'll be spending the next 3 years like slaves performing 6 nights a week, unable to see their family or friends because they're travelling the country, living with 8 other people in a van with a $10 per diem, and showers once a week. Then the teachers will tell them to keep their fingers crossed because they have a solid 1 in 100,000 chance of hearing their album on MTV.."
How many is negligible? 5, 50, maybe 500? Maybe 10,000? 10k wouldn't be too bad at all. I guess if it was say, 50, that would be bad. And to think that Sega's football would sell even less copies, it makes sense that Sega pulled it's games off Gamecube. That in itself if a major shame though because Sega's NHL 2k3 on Gamecube is the greatest hockey game ever. Word is, Sega only sold one copy of that game...and it was to me.
I didn't read the article but I've read other things about this game. My question is: With all the great looking cell-shaded games out there, why didn't they just animate the game to look exactly like the show? It makes no sense to me to make 3d models. For an example of how they should have animated it, look at the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game coming out next month. It's beautifully animated to look like you are actually playing a cartoon.
I used VeriSign added a wildcard A record to the.COM and.NET TLD DNS zones as the subject of the email. You could use something more original if you want.
To whom it may concern,
Verisign is commiting a major injustice that cannot be allowed to continue. It is important ICANN consider what is best for the internet community as a whole and take proper action. Proper action would be to immediately stop this monopolistic behavior from Verisign.
Please read below for more information taken from Slashdot.org:
As of a little while ago (it is around 7:45 PM US Eastern on Mon 15 Sep 2003 as I write this), VeriSign added a wildcard A record to the.COM and.NET TLD DNS zones. The IP address returned is 64.94.110.11, which reverses to sitefinder.verisign.com. What that means in plain English is that most mis-typed domain names that would formerly have resulted in a helpful error message now results in a VeriSign advertising opportunity. For example, if my domain name was 'somecompany.com,' and somebody typed 'soemcompany.com' by mistake, they would get VeriSign's advertising.
This will have the immediate effect of making network trouble-shooting much more difficult. Before, a mis-typed domain name in an email address, web browser, or other network configuration item would result in an obvious error message. You might not have known what to do about it, but at least you knew something was wrong. Now, though, you will have to guess. Every time.
Some have pointed out that this will make an important anti-spam check impossible. A common anti-spam measure is to check and make sure the domain name of the sender really exists. (While this is easy to force, every little bit helps.) Since all.COM and.NET domain names now exist, that anti-spam check is useless.
The internet belongs to everyone. It is not something that can be bought and sold by any one entity. Please put a stop to this behavior.
Thank you.

The other day I was looking at the Volkswagen website. They make the Jetta, Golf and Passat in diesel models. They all get 49 mpg highway. I know that in my town, diesel is a few cents cheaper than regular (87) unleaded gas. I just don't know if the diesel models are available everywhere.
During the install...I left the room to watch TV.
For web browsing...I installed Opera.
The screensaver...I turned it off. Monitors no longer need screensavers (but grandparents who use Win98 love them!)
I don't see a problem here.
I agree. I saw Titan A.E. while tripping on LSD, and I thought it was the greatest movie I've ever seen. I even cried at the end. I haven't watched it again since, so that I don't spoil the wonderful memory.;)
RedHat filed for the trademark two months ago. September 5, 2003 to be exact.

Now that's fair and balanced!

Of course if they lose, 20% of zero is still zero.

I get all my knowledge from reading Slashdot.
I saw that movie and I know how this story ends...Have we learned nothing from Steven Spielberg?

Did anyone else picture Yahoo Serious doing this as they read the summary?
Bidding is up to $9,700.00. For that price it should come with a cluster of Apple G5's to play it on.
