I have had exactly the same experience. At least in Austin, TX DSL is the way to go.
I have had cable twice at different places and the service would go down periodically, or even better it would be slow because to many people were using it at the same time. All this usually happened in the couple of hours I am actually home. I have also had DSL at two different residences and it has always worked and I never notice speed changes.
For me DSL is so much more reliable and faster "when I need it", that even three times the bandwidth would not make me change back to that crappy service.
Saw a video of a guy pour liquid oxygen into one of those steel bbq pits found in public parks. It was filled with with charcoal. When the liquid oxygen hit the charcoal, without any flame or ignition source, it spontaniously combusted.
Never once while the guy was walking over to the bbq pit and spilling liquid oxygen all over the place did I think he was uncool. Entropy in action for the stupid, I do not know how he survived.
no cable card support that I know of, but some recievers have serial ports and other ways to talk to the box. Some folks even do an IR blaster to change the channels.
Take a look at the mythtv forums, lots of good info on this.
I also did not see Episode II. Instead I spent the money on a cheap laser disc player and bought the original Star Wars laser discs, Hans shoots first and all.
Anything EA or any company that is owned by EA makes has become a pretty good predictor not buy because it will suck. Just wish more people would figure that out.
Enjoy your movie after it is finished, by yourself, in your room, and have your mother charge you $10 to enter for the viewing, because that will probably be the gross at the box office.
Whatever with the focus on wasteful spending on sports. My Mom is a school teacher and there is a nice payola scam with book lobbyist getting the governments to buy books ever other year. In college (1992) I had a thermo book from 1968 that is still the bible. I am sure that Algebra has changed less than Thermo. This system needs to be fixed so that the money is spent on teaching the kids.
Yea, i messed up, i was trying to say CBS has a left wing bias. Google very rarely puts up anything with a negative US bias. They use to, it is to bad.
My point was that it is hard to get all of the information in a form not on someone's lead the masses by the nose agenda, and then make up your own mind.
I think the real problem with news organizations is that they are now aligning to think for people and tell them what their opinion should be. You have the Fox right wing channel, the CBS right wing channel, and so on. Sad really, I like to think for myself and make my own opinions.
Google appears to have pretty bad bias now (pro US, pro right wing), I would like to see another aggregate service that I could see all the news and make up my own mind.
When you use the Gentoo emerge command to get a package, it first sorts out all the dependencies and downloads and compiles each dependency from source. After that, it downloads the source of the program you "emerged" and compiles it on your computer. Unless you specify it, most of the time it is not a pre-compiled binary and is a very clean solution.
I bought the game and installed it, it took 2 1/2 hours from first cd to activation. I was so pissed that I downloaded it off the net. The whole thing came down in an hour. So by legally purchasing the game I am penalized an hour and a half for loading it and 5 to 10 minutes every time I want to use it. If I pirate it, I get it faster and don't have to deal with all the DRM crap. Nice job Valve. I told my friend the game was fun, but not to bother. I won't buy any more games from these guys.
Interesting, the first thing I thought is I had seen this with Vivisimo, but I guess no one could spell that so the changed the name?

But I agree, it is a great search engine and has gotten better as I have used it.
It is just stuff or back ground noise.

And people wonder why trial lawyers are making so much money. Even without outlandish jury awards, they can make it up with volume.

Really unfortunate name, as at Motorola there is a Canopy Group that is doing some pretty cool wireless stuff.

A planet ending event just has to find one way to succeed. People on many planets makes this not possible.
I might have added somewhere:

In the US we have had Carnivore for years ... mehg acy=zdnn/

Best part of your comment, is you decided what you were willing to put up with.

I personally will be glad when this version of the 1950's is over.

Rage Against the Machine released their first record on Sony. Pretty scary anti-establishment.
You are a genius.
