For one halloween, we masked off 01 and the rebel flag on my friend's blue 1980 Honda civic, and then painted the entire car with orange tempura paint. After we peeled off the tape, we had a great (if surreal) General Lee.
After Halloween, we drove it through a car wash, came in orange and went out blue. It took some manual labor with a soft brush to finish the job, and it took FOREVER to paint it.
1980 Honda Civic 500$
Tempura Paint 10$
Carwash 8$
Looks on the faces of the car wash workers as our paint ran down their driveway: Priceless
I just downloaded it, I've been using Avant Browser, which also has pop-up blocking as well as flash blocking, ad blocking, and tabbed browsing. It runs on top of IE, so it more vulnerable, but the feature it has that I miss so far in Firefox is mouse gestures (right-click then left click to go back, vice versa to go forward). Does anyone know of a way to do this in Firefox?
Yes, I can believe that Howard Stern is willing to exaggerate the extent to which he is being persecuted for his speech to that level. It's part of something called humor, which is what makes him popular. I do also believe that he is being persecuted, thank you legislation of morality.
Bad Taste is an awesome movie. Full of over-the-top gore and gross out special effects. For example, ***SPOILER WARNING*** after the aliens eat people they vomit in a bowl and pass it around. I loved that one, liked Dead Alive and Heavenly Creatures. I've like Bad Taste since 96 or so, so these movies are a revelation of his ability to handle movies of this scale.
Two of the people who were going to see it with us in south Florida sold their tickets for 250$ on ebay. They could have gotten more but Florida only allows you to double the face value. Of course these were loveseat / recliner style balcony seats with a bar and bistro, so they were 60$ face value.
We've been able to successfully run our VPN and Citrix clients over both the Edge and Sprint PCS networks. I've never seen download speeds less than 100K on the Edge network, but we've only had the modem for a week.
What about Citrix or publishing applications via Terminal Services? Everyone is already working on a central server and no longer tied to the workstation.
I disagree. Religion (Judeo-Christian anyway) is based on the fact that you are not in control of your own life. One of the founding tenets of religion is that whatever you do, an invisible man in the sky can come along and override you. My mom is VERY religious, and when she's confronted with a problem, she prays for either the situation to improve or for guidance. This has led her to an attitude where she'll tolerate situations that upset her and are in her control. But then again, I think that personal responsibility is becoming a thing of the past, I don't think that anyone wants to admit that they run their own life and the way it is is exactly the way they made it.
Our core business depends on two emulator programs, for an AS/400 and multiple linux servers. Both of those programs are tested immediately. We have several other important applications, but we image those servers and rebuild them on to test boxes on a seperate network with its own T1, allowing us to test far more than patches in a safe environment. Also, since we don't outsource any support or management, whoever administers a given server runs the client on their box. Your statements are correct for most IT departments that I've worked on, but it's not the case here.
I'm the network admin/windows/active directory guy for a healthcare company. We run multiple SUS servers, several for desktops, and one for servers. Our procedure is, when a patch is released, that day I.T. downloads and installs it on our desktops and test servers. If it's successful, it gets approved on our desktop SUS servers. If those work OK, the next day it gets approved for our severs. So far we've had no problems with that process.
Acrobat Reader. Practically every business PC will need it installed, and since Acrobat Reader is a huge pain to get in to an.msi (please let me know if you've had any luck), in many cases it's easier to download it directly.
Perfect the hipster / neo-lounge scene of a few years ago, that I hear is now making a comeback. That's the perfect settings for some dry martinis (martinis are made with gin, btw) and some Combustible Edison.
Looks like it would be a sweet place for cocktail parties. Hell of a lot cheaper than putting an addition on a house, if one was desperately seeking entertaining room.
Diablo 2 has a "Hard-Core" mode that is permanent death. It was about as popular as the regular mode, and apparently addictive. Of course in Diablo 2, you were in essence replaying the same game over and over again. It would be interesting to see how it worked in an MMORPG.
I also lent my books and lost them forever. I monitored all his sites fairly closely for a time, but then I must admit, I grew fickle and lost interest.
You'll know you've opted out when your start button is greyed out, and the mouseover text reads "You have chosen not to use certain features that will greatly enhance your computing experience. This function will be unavailable until you opt to use our 'My File Tracking' feature."
Adult Swim is a collection of cartoons with mature themes. ie Futurama and Family Guy from Fox, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun as part of their more action oriented anime lineup, and cartoons best described as odd such as Sealab 2021, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. If one were to look for such cartoons on a P2P network, there is an excellent chance of finding them.

I thought Mystic River could have been a good hour and a half movie, but at it's length was mediocre. I went because of the hype.

I first heard that in one of Ed Abbey's books.
On square vinyl.
Reminds

It's the same resentment that any pretty girl would receive in such a male-dominated industry.
Obligatory questioning of your origin and its claim to fame!!
Obligatory statement of New Jersey's superiority! Evidence optional!
Will you base your opinion on the fact that he stole your name?
