hmm, didnt they just lose a bunch of revenue from poloroid cameras being discontinued? I can understand if they are defending their patents... I just hope they dont pull a sco and turn the focus of the company to it...
I actually had that happen - when napster got big (ahh the days...) I downloaded a track from a longtime online friend without knowing it - the tag had his nick in it, sure enough it was from him...
But you want to enjoy surfing the web from the recliner, or while taking a dump, wireless is more then a convient way to access the internet. Go capitalism !!! This is truly the peak of human culture...
Getting some of their money is better than losing it all when sco gets their ass handed to them.
Next time I would suggest in doing more research...

I can see this as a great opportunity to both mainstream developemnt and provide more options. Id software being able to more between mac/windows/linux on their releases is a good example of this.
Actually there is another difference, there really isnt anything illegal I can do to a car if I have the codes (well cause the breaks to fail I guess?) and there are countless auto repair shops that provide a needed service to car owners.
There really isnt a good reason to tinker with your xbox, atleast in a business sense. Do you see xbox repair shops on every corner? No, combine this with the load of illegal things you can do to it this starts to draw a very clear picture.
Didnt microsoft try this with msn with "free" hardware for a subscription agreement. Too bad some local laws voided this - Id suggest anyone else trying such things get their contract worded correctly and do enough law research to avoid this in the future.
how can it cease to exist? isnt open source software forever? (well in some form or another) it may not be regularly updated (or updated at all by the looks of the article) but could still prove useful in the future...
While I agree that this is not a cure all for spam, the bottom line is that it will make a difference. Spam only happens because people buy the crap they're offering. Stop the cash and spam will stop as a result, or evolve into huge robots that come to your house and steal gas from your car... gas stealing bastards, wilson I know you were behind this !!!
Was this post informative, funny, offtopic or all three? I leave that up to you to ponder...:)
Ditching the white earphones was a good first step - I would also suggest not using a fancy case to carry around your laptop - those leather targus bags just scream "look at me! expensive stuff here!"
Im unclear of the FCC's rules, but I was under the impression that a certain kind of station (rock music for example) needs to provide a reason their content should be allowed in the market and is not similar to other options...

Google has had this for a while - its the allinurl advanced search option.

hide and go seek rocks! I remember it for the atari 2600... good times... (switching the cart when the other person was "hiding" was fun too...)
seriously, a ms pacman in the breakroom would go a long way - they are not really all that expensive either...
perv...

Another innovation I can see is hooking this kind of tool up to network aware objects, like those little spheres that change colors.
I can see it now...

no wonder high end cards are expensive!

finally I can wear a labcoat and a chefs hat in the kitchen and not feel like a dork.
Im sure some people here will claim $500 isnt a lot of money, but its programmers were talking about here - imagine how much ramen that is !

The new prime was verified by Tony Reix in just 5...
so why isnt this guy looking for primes if he has such a fast setup?

this may be a local thing tho...
using the term "beta" gives a clear impression that everything is mostly there, but there is more work to be done.
I would much perfer a site say they are beta instead of putting out non working features.
Good job! you just told skynet the codes! You know it can time travel, what the hell is wrong with you people?
I have to say, you nearly made me spew sprite on my monitor. Someone please mod parent up - if I had any points I would...
