  3. DSL on Report: Broadband Too Expensive For Many · · Score: 2

It turned out to be cheaper for me. I have two room-mates and each of us was paying for seperate dial-up services. I think that totalled about $55 between the three of us. We only pay $50 for DSL, and with a lynksys router we split it three ways. I will never go back, I hated dial-up. The benefits of DSL are big for me. Always on, doesn't tie up my phone line and it turned out to be cheaper for me.

The question should be: Do we really want a single sign in solution? I don't like passport, or its integration into XP and I probably won't like a Linux version. Single sign in sounds terribly insecure. I suppose the Linux version might be more secure since as Microsoft says, their products aren't made for security.

The old movie is the episodes from the BBC series. The special effects are really bad, but I imagine they were fairly cutting edge for the early eighties when it was made. You can get the entire series on DVD (2 disks) including extras with editorial by Douglas

I don't think we really need to be forwarding all of our spam to the FTC. They will just use it as statistical evidence further regulate things. I would prefer to keep governmental agencies out of my life and my e-mail whenever possible. If that means deleting some spam everyday then I am willing to do that. The best thing you can do is just not support businesses that spam and eventually they will decide it is not a good form of advertising.
