Yep, the new Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle for the Marine Corps uses some version of windows not sure which. I was crawling around in one the other day and saw the "3D pipe" screensaver on one of the displays.
If you get a chance watch some of the video clips of the 30mm gun testing.

I agree. I work for a large U.S. Government Contractor and I'm required to enter secure buildings around Washington DC. Security at these buildings is not requesting that you check your phone at the front desk if it has a camera in it. Some military bases just take them from you if you are caught. Having a camera phone is not an option for me. I ended up going with a Siemens S56. It may be a niche market around DC but I bet non-camera phones sell like hotcakes around here.
Yep same here. Used a Commadore 64 to write a program in BASIC to roll all your stats. I also made a character sheet in some word processing program that I can't remember the name off. Printed out on an old Toshiba dot matrix printer. Man those were the days.
I'm using the logitech bluetooth mouse with my Powerbook (built in BT adapter). Works great, I'd say as well as a wired mouse. It's great having one less wire and not having an awkward adapter sticking out of the usb port. No complaints.
This is way offtopic. When did all of these acronyms start to creep into the language. I think it started out on internet message boards like slashdot as time savers but I slowly see it leaking into mainstream media. Not picking on the parent post, but it did get me thinking.
It is getting so that it is all most impossible to read some of these things. ROTK, TTT, H2G2, SW:NH, PSX, PS2 the list goes on.
Toyota still has a joint venture in California called NUMMI they used to make the GEO Prism which is just a re-badged Corolla. They now make the Pontiac Vibe which is a re-badged Toyota Matrix.
I actually liked some of the movie bits better than what was in the book.
In the TTT Special Edition, I liked the cut scene where Denethor sends Boromir to Rivendell to consult with Elrond. They also build up the relationship between Farmir and Boromir has brothers and the rocky relationship with their Father.
I also like how they used more of the Army of the Dead in Return of the King. I know this was a big change from the book, but it was well done. I always thought that the Army of the Dead was down played too much in the books.
Dang you beat me to the obligatory "Online Documentation is good enough" quote that always comes up with these php book reviews. I needed some karma today.
UPS...
For when it absolutely, positively has to be broken over night.
This is why I love slashdot. More obscure triva to memorize. Thanks!
Logan's run is pretty good.
Not true, least with the pumps I've used. You can jam what ever you want in there and the handle will click off when the tank is full.

I don't think you would be able to tell if a bomb went of in RR Michigan. It looks pretty destroyed right now.
"but most of them drink it in cans" Where do you get this information?

Looks like they have changed something in the Matrix.
I have an ADSL connection through Speakeasy. They allow servers.
If you were going to buy the Pepsi anyway, why not pick a winner.
How about "utilize" instead.
doesn't Taco own a Mac?
Links to what? The dynamic pages? I can't really they are adminstration pages for a photogallery and web forum that I run.

Looks like no changes to the cache. I had to turn the whole thing off to make some dynamic pages work right.
Fonts look much better in many of the pages I vist. The menu bar finally looks right on the bank webpage.

So do you prefer the shiny side out or in when making a tinfoil hat?

The mental image this presents, "sit in the back eating corn chips and cackling", is both hilarious and disturbing.
Our club goes off road all the time, but I think that we are in the minority.
