Note: not the entire company was bought, infact they went from Control Data Corporation to Control Data Systems. They even did some of the wiring for Target stores across the state of Michigan (but not for there own computer systems)

Seriously, if the developers had half the power in Open GL that DX9 has the standard would be used more, but as it is it has become stagnant due to the constant bitching that is done on the groups meetings, and all because they want to use their own propriety code, so they can charge the others.

I am sick of the bullshit... I just want to have the games, and then I can lose windows.

I want the EU as part of their Monoply agreement to require MS to release some of their old code to the public domain, screw the Win code, I want the DX code from like version 7 or 6 and earlier.

Also, you have a better ability to trial software before taking the plunge and buying it, something that many of my friends do with the PS2 since the majority of game seem to be rush jobs with little end result. I'm not saying that the GCN or the Xbox is any better, it's just Sony seems to encourge quanity over quality for their software library, always have.

The down side to this is you get very few quality games, but you do get a larger selection, and some fairly creative titles. Just not as creative as SEGA used to encourage.

If you still felt that wasn't enough, place a small EULA at the begining that would state the BARE necessities including that after that amount of time you automaticly agree to the EULA unless the software is removed from the device... That way if the user gets some better than trial ware, but has one nag as their trade off. I would be willing to have to only put up with one nag if I was allowed to try things before you buy. P.s. I would put in a clause in the first EULA that would state that phreaking the file without consent or prior knowedge would make the second EULA active.
