Now I need to get my boss to buy me a recliner. My office chair sucks, I do find myself reclining it it while I can but it almost seems to force me to lean over.
The old "everyone's stupid but me!" Ha, yeah I paid full retail for the Wii, it's great. We can talk about how great it is in five years when you smugly purchase one.
That's not even enough to go Back To The Future!!! Still, we should be building these en masse right now. They will pay for themselves and after that point it's all free, clean, non-Saudi-dictator-supporting energy.
How the hell can you afford to stand in a line for over a week?? Are you taking vacation time from work? Are you unemployed? Unemployable? And why the hell would you stand in a line for a week even if you had the time? Stupid kids and their rock music.
I agree, it's that very slim mutually inclusive combination of people who have enough money to pay for the PS3 but who don't have a job to earn that money.

That wasn't a flame. I was responding to your second comment. Don't get all upset.

WOOPS! That was one I was really looking forward to playing at my New Year's party! Oh well, the pre-order is still good. Just 18 more days! Any news on midnight launch parties or being able to sneak in before the 19th to finagle your Wii (uhh...) from a clueless store employee?
Well, now I really have to say I can't see myself installing Vista. Forget this! Why not charge me for a kick in the face while you are at it. I run Windows XP on my home PC and I think if I have to upgrade it will be to Linux.
So I can get a worthless Ogre trinket for a MERE $625? You have got to be kidding. A fool and his money are soon parted. Owning an ogre trinket is no different from wearing an "I'm An Idiot" t-shirt -- which, if you want one, I can sell to you for a mere $625.
Is there a big, pent-up demand for a new Windows OS? I can't see myself paying for this for a very long time. And the only reason why I expect to get it eventually is because people buying new PC's will have it and will expect desktop support for that model for any software I develop. I will eventually be stuck with it. But is anyone really looking forward to it, and if so, how come?
Nintendo is in my opinion the best games publisher in the industry. I can't think of a single bad Nintendo game I have ever played, except perhaps Wild Gunman which lacks depth. That's a pretty amazing track record. Nintendo only releases games for Nintendo consoles which is why I always get Nintendo's consoles. With the Wii control scheme I feel like Nintendo has a double bonus going into this generation. One month to go, I really can't wait!
Everyone I have talked to about Wii was concerned about the need to constantly move around in order to interact with the system. Frankly people seemed concerned that they would look "stupid". I can't wait to try these games, I believe that the Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers will allow real 3D control over 3D environments for the very first time, it seems like it's going to be nonstop fun.
I used some comp time at work so I could get to EB Games in Sturbridge MA early. There were 4 people in line when I got there at 9:00, the first people in line got there at 7:30. There were 14 people waiting when the store opened and I pre-ordered the Wii and 3 Wii remotes and 3 Wii nunchucks. I had also previously pre-ordered Zelda, Excite Truck, Wario Ware, and Madden 2007. I didn't get a phone call and the email I got from EB Games contained only graphics (I use PINE) and they weren't attached to the email so I had no idea what it said exactly. I was unable to place a pre-order on the S-video cable unfortunately. Now I have to wait for the delivery. Do you think they will sell units prior to the official launch date? We know they won't be taking delivery Sunday November 19 so they will have to have units in stock before then. I plan on calling EB Games before the launch to confirm, I hope they do a midnight launch party at a minimum. I intend to get there extra early because I really want to get mine on launch day.
Just continue to press the button when you reach the top of the pit and then move E.T. to the left or right until he's completely out. 99% of the hate on E.T. for the 2600 is because people don't know how to play it. It's a fun game when you know what you are doing. I would love to try this mind controlled 2600 incidentally, I think they might be on to a successful consumer application here.
I have been calling EB Games daily and you still can't pre-order. With the launch 6 weeks away it's kind of disconcerting. I plan to pre-order the Wii and a bunch of controllers myself but I have been asking about the PS3 pre-orders out of curiousity. I wonder when that will be decided, does anyone have any inside information?
EB is taking pre-orders now???? I just called my local EB Games and got this:
"We're not taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii just yet Kevin. It's coming out around the same time as the PS3. We're not taking pre-orders for the PS3 either right now. I'm really not sure when we will be."
I told them I'd call again tomorrow, I really want to keep up on these things. Thanks for getting my hopes up!
Ha, I didn't even consider the scientific implications of this. My mind went RIGHT for the "your anus" jokes. It's just how I am I guess. I imagine there are giant gas storms on Saturn and maybe Neptune also, probably due solely to gravitational effects since the sun is too weak to really cause big storms there (unlike on Earth and Venus, where solar effects are by far the greatest influence on atmospheric change). But science goes right out the window when it comes time to discuss the gas storms of Uranus.
Now I need to get my boss to buy me a recliner. My office chair sucks, I do find myself reclining it it while I can but it almost seems to force me to lean over.
Mine updated properly and I was VERY relieved.
...Just waiting for the bizarre forced delay from Slashdot... hope I waited long enough...

This would have been a better article if it had been about Uranus.

PS2 is not old school.

I pre-ordered 3 extra Wii controllers.
1. the Moon 2. the cost Having typed that, now I get to wait for the arbitrary time delay... ...is it time yet? I guess I'll find out.
Butter that bacon boy! Anyway, I think yours is an interesting anecdotal example but it also sounds truly disgusting.

The Internet actually is a series of tubes, from what I understand.

How much money will you save buying them at Wal-Mart? I'll admit, I buy shave cream and razors there but I prefer almost any other store to Wal-Mart.

Wow that sounds great! Will they have them up on a web site, and do you know if the exhibit will come to the USA?
