most professional admins I know are actually switching AWAY from microsoft servers. So I guess it all depends on who you listen to and who you believe when it comes to "hard numbers and 100% facts".
But this is all irrelevent, as Linux will have completely taken over the server AS WELL AS the desktop before the end of this decade.

I have now made a bit over $50 from a slashdot post from the amazon top-ten book thread. But I was lucky, as my post was close to the top and got moderated +5 early on. It's the first time I've made money from posting.
Your learned responsibility and are a more realistic person. Your friends probably are still very immature and have black/white views of the world. They may be better off materialistically, but that isn't all that's important in life.

I don't have a TIVO so I don't know what's up... but can't you just program your TIVO to record at 9:02 instead of 9:00? What are you going to miss in the first two minutes anyway... probably just commercials.

You can set the --max_upload_rate parameter to a very low number.
