  5. Re:really. on Square Steps Back from 'No FF on 360' Remark · · Score: 1

For the amount of time the 360 has been out it has a pretty small install base as well. Final Fantasy will be a system seller for the ps3 and I bet square will stay with Sony. Outside of North America, the 360 isn't selling that great so this is just probably a rumour from some troll on a video game forum.

You must've missed the vnboards where Mythic stopped posting due to the trolls on those forums. You also must've not been a member of the private forums that Mythic hosts as those were just as bad, sometimes with the dev's chiming in. All mmo's face the same scenario pretty much with a vocal minority who are a bunch of asshats. In DAoC the dev's catered to this minority unfortunately and the game became worse because of it.

It's not really a big deal, it's just been marketed as such in North America when in reality it's just another generic FPS on a system that is flooded with shooters and not much else.

I'm sorry but that's disgusting. Denying treatment so people can just make a profit. Socialized medicine does work in Europe, Canada and Japan. Everyone has the right to health care, if America had socialized health care then the practise could go on preventative care and a lot less people would be in the situation of having to worry about a new organ or dealing with a deadly disease.

Yup it's getting pretty old. As long as the publishers make good games then people will buy them. I personally picked up Trauma Centre: Second Opinion, Elebits and Rayman Raving Rabbids as they are good games and surprisingly they are from Third Party publishers. The rehashed crap is not going to sell well though, developers need to learn to innovate instead of repacking the same old stuff. Besides, third parties had no problems selling stuff back in the SNES days.. well as long as they agreed with Nintendo's iron fist on censorship back then. ;)

You lost me at so many good games for the xbox and 360. Loads and loads of first person shooters aren't good games. Maybe for teenagers who think they are "mature" because their game has an M on it and tells them so. This is probably why the 360's sales numbers fail to surpass the original xbox's in the same time span. :(

Mod parent up, the install base for the 360 is really really small and will probably be surpassed. Apple still has a fighting chance and sony definantly will due to the larger harddrives their systems will be coming with.

While a video game console can never (at the moment) replace real physical interaction. The wii is a lot better than the alternatives out there by getting people to actually stand up and get involved in the games. Plus the learning curve is so small that anyone can play. As with anything in life, a proper balance is something we all need to strive for.
