There are literally a dozen sites that will do it for free including NokiaFree. That's why I bought a prepaid Nokia phone because I could unlock it and change it to a post pay phone on any North American GSM carrier.
Ah yes, the people who come down against Senator Santorum who have never bothered to confirm what he said. He was misquoted, in fact they put quotes around what they said that he said (but never did). The reporter/journalist should have been fired.
When's the last time you've seen a floppy drive that reads hard sectored disks? Hard sector disks have multiple holes punched in them, not just one like soft sectored disks have.
I've been moving people away from 2000 Pro at work to XP Pro and a few have complained that "It's too different! I can't learn this" even with the classic windows theme installed. Some people will fuss for no good reason. My only motivation is all the 2000 systems are still joined to a NT4 domain that is being taken away. Then people bitched when we went from Office XP to Office 2003. If you force things upon people they'll adapt quickly, but if you give them too many options it could take years to get them moved over to something different.
Yeah I know it is called a feed horn, but since I'm on Slashdot, I dumbed it down a bit. Speaking of non-stick coatings, why doesn't someone make a teflon coated dish? I had an old teflon coated Wok that would probably make a nice Ku dish.
Rain affects the small space between the reflector and the LNB. So if rain travels between the dish itself and the "stalk" pointing at the dish, then your signal will degrade since the relatively weak signal is concentrated into a small spot. As long as the rain is diverting the weak signal coming from the satellite. So think of it like shining a flashlight at someone and the put their hand up to interfere, the light still manages to mostly get to the destination. If someone shoots a laser pointer at you and you block it with your hand, then that is it, no more signal.
This is why you'll see "dish socks" stretchy covers that go over the dish. It keeps rain from passing through the dish and the LNB.
I had an old account but it wasn't a shell account. Mine was jnitro99@ix.netcom.com. I used the old Netcruiser software on Windows 95 with the 16 bit winsock hack.
I have a website about upgrading Dell C-Series laptops and someone used my username "Stonent" as an Adword for a laptop repair service. I was irritated but after about a month the ad went away.
Intel used to source out their production to AMD to keep up with demand. They also used other companies such as TI, Signetics, and NEC. Because of production licenses, those companies were allowed to make their own CPUs even after Intel stopped using them.
Pick up a T-Mobile To Go kit at Walmart for $40 and go here to unlock it. It runs only on North American GSM Bands however. Then sell the SIM and activation kit on E-Bay.
I'm glad the P.C. bleeding heart people who had mod points today decided to tag my original post as Flamebait. I'm so glad to know that dissenting opinions are not tolerated here. If you happen to have come from another country who was not very nice to its citizens and have attained US citizenship, consider yourself very lucky. If you come here legally, I say "Welcome!" , but if you use any other means other than the legal way, I don't think you deserve the protection of our constitution.
No, but verizon said it would take a week before the whole process would be complete. I called them on a Monday and the phone wasn't ready until the following Monday because they had to "schedule it"
Nextel uses SIMs, CDMA providers do not. From a corporate standpoint, SIMs give a phone a lower TCO because you can easily reuse handsets. Bob want's Joe's phone and Joe wants Bob's phone. A simple SIM swap is all it takes. For Sprint or Verizon, it's practically a week long process. Where I work, if someone gets fired or quits or turns in their phone. We just call Nextel or Tmobile and cancel the account then the phone (usually a Blackberry) gets put in a box. Then Joe Newguy, gets hired, we just put a working SIM from whoever most recently turned in a phone, in the phone and give it to him.
Changing numbers is a snap with SIMs, just call up the provider and they can issue you a new number in 2 minutes. Verizon wanted me to key in a bunch of stuff in the phone to make it work.
And BTW, nobody would accept a Dual-Sided DVD. Do you know how annoying it would be to be told every few minutes to flip your disk over?
Someone's never owned an Apple II...

Will it run all my "S3D" games that came with my 4MB Virge card 10 years ago?
Jerry Yang. The last name sounds Chinese to me.
That laptop looks like it's running at 800x600.

:)
See that sounds too much like a socialist slogan for us to be comfortable with, so we just do our own thing.

Thank you.

Damn, if I had become a script kitty back in '97 I could have been in jail by now!

Can you post the FCC ID from the bottom of your di-524?

unlock.nokafree.org
You can use it, if you have the right info. It is easier just to post the info and have them do it for you.

That Zombo.com is still alive and kicking. I don't know I'd get through the day without their services.
Well then if that's the case, lobby for everyone to have it. I'm willing to take the chance and just tag non-native citizens.

I think that's a good balance. Don't bother us native born people with it.
