Why get one before you need them? I hired two to handle two different issues for me. One was a contract dispute that kept me out of work for 4 months. The lawyer was recommended by a friend and was well worth the 50k he cost.
I know that once a beta of ReactOS becomes available, I'll switch my Windows VM over to it. I'm tired of calling Microsoft because I installed WindowsXP too many times, even though none of those installations still exist (all wiped for various reasons).
While it may be a matter of record, one would think that since the lawyers are not media figures, you would have to get a release from each of them to display their likeness in a public manner.
Of course, IANANYCL (I Am Not A NewYorkCountryLawyer).
I'll have to check how long my aluminum macbook takes to boot. Certainly more than 4 seconds. Probably less than 4 minutes, I think.
That being said, sleep & restore work flawlessly. So good that the grandparent poster probably got confused and thought it was doing a full boot in 4 seconds (which sounds about correct for restore from deep sleep).
How about carrying a laptop to sync them all to? Much easier than sorting through a dozen or more cards.
Unless he's a professional, in which case he really should just buy a hundred high capacity cards and just number them and go in numerical order for the entire shoot.
Or expend more energy for cooling, depending on the perspective.
Assuming you use the heater in the house about the same amount of time as the air conditioner (which is roughly correct in the latitude around New York), you will come up with a wash.
Considering how often it was called a revolutionary game, it's surprising that there's only been a couple remakes, with none of them working on modern hardware and internet aware.:-(
Don't even need to bring computers into the mix much. Just get kids involved in thinking problems out in a logical manner. Add in some stuff about different types of data structures being optimal for different types of problems.
What really blows my mind is that most people choose their phone because of features/functionality and service provider.
Hate to state the obvious, but if you are already working for Google, chances are that you have little in common with "most people". As for the service provider thing, one would suppose that an unlocked phone can work with the major service providers.
That being said, at least on Ubuntu, there is a gtk UI for Virtual Box. Forgot the name, but it looks a little slapped together than the more polished QT interface.
And how many people have pocket calculators now?
A film about a gas mask wearing murderous miner doesn't exactly scream quality and production values.
Like any other topic, it really depends on the writer, director, and actors.
A really good crew can make a great movie about making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch.

Absolutely agree.
The pain of figuring out monitor frequencies for X11 (with the threat that a wrong line can physically destroy my monitor!).
I tried a linux distro a year for about 4-5 years (redhat, Mandrake, Novell, among others), before things finally started going my way in '04.
It wasn't just the desktop, though. That's when openoffice.org and firefox were just starting to be usable alternatives.
And now, the future' so bright, we have to wear shades. :-)
And the closer ReactOS gets to being usable.

Why not compare revenue to revenue, or sales to sales?

Damn time travelers.
Invalid answer. Default answer [No] selected.
Agree. While I didn't always like his choice of articles, he was one of us and I'm sorry to see him leave.
Your mom probably filled in the product warrantee card and sent it in.
P.S. She's fat.

Isn't this the same as Dell's Idea Storm and Ubuntu's Brain Storm?
Try Fitaly ( http://www.fitaly.com/palm/palmfitaly.htm ). I've used it on the Palm, and it really is quite nice, once you get used to it.
It also uses a swipe method to determine capitol letters, so no shift key is needed.
Optimization for two fingers may be similar to the one stylus optimization done for the Palm desktop a while ago. : http://www.fitaly.com/palm/palmfitaly.htm

M.U.L.E.?

You're lucky. Here in New York, when you hit the roaches, the rest fly and attack you.
Friggin scary as all hell.
Let me get this straight.
If I use gmail to read my email that's fine.
But if I use google/ig as my home page to read my email (as google allows me to do for the last 2-3 months), that's going to be blocked?
How about a class in Logic and Data Structure.

"Snappy" is a fine term to use. I read it all the time in the High Definition Theater magazine reviews.
