I've gone through the digital ride the past two years, Boss GT-3 -> Pod -> Flextone -> yada, yada. It's so flexible and it's 'supposed' to sound great, how come I only managed to make it sound 'ok'? I finally gave up on it and now I have a Vox AC30, and it sounds like god himself reaches down and touches that amp when I crank it. Digital might be the future, but it's not quite the present yet (imho of course, others who might now what they're doing when tweaking the digitial stuff might live in a digital present)!
Guitars with active pickups today get their power from batteries in a cavity in the guitar. Don't know how much power this thing will need but a similar solution is probably not out of the question.
The hair metal band are(were) from California.
(This is obivously a massively important fact in the context of this thread and this glaring inaccuracy cannot be left uncorrected. Canada may have had Bryan Adams but their hair metal was inferior and they all seemed to want to be from L.A instead of Canada, exemplified by lyrics like "Have you heard the news today, the kids are all shakin' in the USA" by Helix. Surely a Candian band should be singing about kids shakin' in Ottawa? NOTE: I'm not from the USA or Canada)
Apple weren't first to market with the iPod either, but they still have the best hard drive mp3 player now. (IMHO of course (yes I know it's expensive)) Maybe that's more important in the long run.
Anyone who reads parent posters ramblings and starts thinking that maybe that Bakshi version is good, and maybe they should go find it so they can watch it, should read this page.
Summary: it is not good. At all.
On the other hand, just imagine how much the porn industry would rake in if they'd have the same budget as Peter Jackson. Who would NOT go and see a movie with a MASSIVE gangbang with the hero and 9999 Natalie Portmans?
What the fuck?!?!
You've heard our new album?!?!
When I find the fucker who leaked it I'll fucking kill him, this new sound was supposed to be kept secret!!!
Sincerely,
Lars
a) He was telling the truth about being offered them and not just spinning wild tales of horrible world wide piracy (which, considering you're right about him having a copy would be helpful, seems like a perfectly plausible scenario)
and
b) If a), the sellers weren't trying to scam him and the actual movie on the disc(s) he was offered really was The Two Towers instead of Debbie Does Beijing.
Calling LOTR bookends silly is ungondorian.
If LOTR bookends are silly, Sauron wins.
I must be an orc though, because I bought the 4 disc version without the bookends.
I want 20 anually from every internet cafe in Finland. They make money from people coming into their place reading Slashdot, it's only fair they pay me.
I've read the books and I'm a fan of them. Some of the changes in the first film were a bit hard for me to take when I first saw it (that might be silly, but that's another discussion), and I would actually not mind knowing a bit more about what kind of changes to expect in order for me not to go ballistic in the theater again.
So maybe I should go Read The Articles(tm) now, before posting again.
If copyright is for something that IS published, is it ok (from a copyright law point of view) to put/get Eminems album on/from Kazaa before it's released. I have a sneeky suspicion it is not!
Frodo was a hero in the cleansing of the shire? Seemed to me he mostly was tired, moaned and sat around while the others did the hero stuff. He'd done his part already, like. I got the feeling the other hobbits never really did realize what a huge thing he'd done for the world and looked up to Pippin and Merry more, and that helped convey a sense of Frodo not really belonging there anymore. That in turn made the real ending work even better.
Maybe that's just me!
True, but phantom power over the wireless the parent spoke of might not work so well(?).

Since when is a Gibson a poor man's guitar? ;)

His client is Sub7. Everyone is sharing with him, but noone knows they're doing it.

Minas Tirith _is_ the white city. In Gondor. In the movie they were in Osgiliath. In Gondor.

He's talking about the whole Pirate culture, not just the chinese subset of it.
Taking it home would only have helped if:

and

"Hello, I'm professor Romero and I'm going to make you my bitches." After Daikatana, should he not be taking this class instead of teaching it?

14. ???
(I'll let someone else do 15.)
I read it when my FATHER was 9.
In a really tiny paperback.
Beat that!

Uh oh, the guy above who posted the number for the reporter can expect the FBI to break down his door any time now.
That's what Saddam wants you to think!
Run to the hills! (Or perhaps shelters)
I think we should start with 2 letters and 3 numbers, so someone would get to say this in real life: TK-421, why aren't you at your post? TK-421?
