The fact is, there aren't too many phones that let you put whatever program you want on it and it be convenient (Yes, I know about Kyocera/Palm, but have you seen those things? Now THAT's a big cell phone; my friend has one and he calls it the Zach Morris phone) This phone probably has some pretty glaring bugs, but the ideas they've set forth are pretty cool. Wait for V2.0.
I think it has to do with what kind of USB host you plug it in to. I had it plugged into the system USB ports and they worked fine, until an unfortunate wiring accident rendered them nonfunctional. I plug it into my USB2 PCI card and it doesn't work
Over here at a certain Central Ohio university (That happens to be National Football champions this year), we have a Direct Connect server sharing 10 TB of files; The transfers go over the local network. And the great thing is, it goes at ~900 k/s, unlike KaZaA which goes 15 k/s if you're lucky.
Personally, I think this is the way to go; the university pays no bandwidth cost, and I don't have to wait all day.
"...protection will be in place to ensure that even content recorded by users (through the use of a special adapter) will not be able to be shared with other users."
User recordings; the one thing that's 98% guaranteed not to be copyrighted. Sometimes I think these people don't think these things through...
"The Magic technology will let users apply unique digital effects to each string of the guitar "
That's the important part; when you can pick up each string individually, a guitar turns into one hell of a MIDI device. This means you can make your guitar sound like some other instrument like a piano, or make it automatically harmonize a third above whatever is playing, or it can play a drum machine and automatically adjust the tempo based on what you're playing. The Cat-5 is just a way to connect it. Although, Roland has had this same idea for some time now (Albeit it costs $1000, but then again, a '54 Les Paul isn't cheap either).
First of all, let's think about this; It's basically a buffer exploit, but the only thing you could really do with so little room (Can't make it too big or it'll be obvious) is to download another file off the Internet and run it. I'm pretty sure that'll be caught, or at least logged, by most firewalls, including their server address, so someone can look up who owns the IP address and report them to the FBI as a terrorist.
Secondly, if people convert their music to OGG, or as those with Pocket PCs do, WMA, oops, your "robust RIAA anti-piracy solution" just went out the window.
Not to mention that most media players are based on a common code base for decoders (DirectShow for Windows, ummm... mplayer I think for Linux). As soon as the buffer exploit is fixed, this won't even be an issue, and the RIAA will be left to shake their fists at the sky in utter defeat. Again.
It sounds to me like it's more like CVS than anything, with signed files that keep track of revisions or enhancements. I really can't see how this could be a bad thing; It really lessens the potential for tampering of evidence.
nVidia's nView software should do it; Make sure nView extensions are enabled, then select "Send Application to Monitor 1". That should move the parent as well as all its child windows
So that's why I got modded "Troll". Yes, I do dual-boot Mandrake 8.2/WinXP, but I encoded all my MP3s as WMAs so I could fit more on my 128MB CF card (500K/min vs 1M/min = good) before I installed Mandrake, and if I convert them back to MP3 they'll sound like ass. So, upon reading this, I think to myself..
(As C. Montgomery Burns) Excellent...
PS: Sorry about the subject name, I wasn't paying attention as I was tabbing through the form.
What? I don't think this is flamebait; He's making a joke about Americans being completely misinformed about other countries, not about Canadians not having electricity.
Seeing how it is designed to operate in the XZ plane (much like most everything else, save for insects, birds, and CowboyNeal), I don't really see how it would need to maneuver itself in 3D space. Unless it has a Lego Jetpack...

Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View Tab -> Check "Launch Folder windows in a separate process" Fixed.
Wine is NOT an Emulator; It is a compatibility layer. It just implements the Win32 API
"We already killed [our own butcherous leaders] in 1776..."
I would hardly consider a war arising from tax/representation disputes to be killing a "butcherous" leader. Jeez, Britain wasn't the friggin Nazis.
I liked it better the first time around when it was called VNC
Ummm... Multi-head display configurations have been supported since DirectX 6 *maybe 7*, but definitely in 9
The Centrino logo is awful though... God.

Which way does it face, and why?
Does it finally fix USB Wheel mice? Mine only works plugged into a PS/2 port. I use it in USB, and I Left Click, it slides the cursor to the right...

Yeah, and look how well that went over. I think really, the only people who ever used it were the bastards writing all those macro viruses...

Yeah, cause everyone knows people on SlashDot just love Microsoft...

Sorry. I got my leet reference from http://www.planetquake.com/turkey/l33t_a.htm I will review my leetness now that you have brought this issue up.
Woohoo! One less reason to use Windows
I do believe MS upgraded/improved their junk mail filtering software for Hotmail
I just want to see what happens when some dumb person's "Quiet mod" is booted for the first time after reading this page.
