Not only did I get mp3's of the radio series off WinMX, I *also* got all 6 television episodes!
Copyright or not, you can't get this shit many other places. (Although they do tend to release the original radio series from time to time, last time I recall seeing it in stores was over 10 years ago, though)
Oddly enough, I've been able to buy cassettes of the original radio series and the television series on dvd in the past year. I guess it just depends on where you look.
Given some of the crap that Windows programs leave when you try to uninstall them, I don't think I'd trust an email to be completely removed from the system.
The randomness of the levels is what makes the game more fun, you never know what you're going to have to work with next. And you'll know that no one has played the level to death to achieve an unfair advantage.
Did Worms have the ability to specify some general characteristics for the maps like Scorch did?
Oddly enough, after I had posted my previous message, I realised that I do in fact have several stuffed cows sitting on my desk..... However I still don't think that the addition of a 50 cent stuffed toy to a fifty dollar game will make that much of a difference.... You're right though... my wife does love those cows.....
"But seriously, I can imagine that some aspects of games can train certain reflexes..."
"Wow, the implications: if cars could strafe (and maybe had rubber protective side plates) we'd have some wild and wacky traffic situations.:)"
Don't joke about this! After playing SSX Tricky for a couple of hours I remembered that I need to get some things from the supermarket. As I was driving along, I saw a slight bump in the road and started thinking "I could probably get a 360 rotation off that jump...."
Thankfully, I came to my senses and realised what I had been about to attempt before I tried it.
Try this with 30 windows open. If you have and you still prefer it, that's fine. But I go insane. I like being able to press a single key combo to bring up my browser, email, documentation, VIM, dev. work, or chat stuff.
You could try setting up windows shortcut keys for your major things like email, vim, etc... Then pressing Ctrl + Alt + shortcut key you can bring the appropriate app to the foreground, or open it if it isn't open yet. For instance, I've got Ctrl+Alt+Z bound to my command prompt and Ctrl+Alt+V bound to gvim, along with many others. Hope this helps!
How do you know a console game is buggy before you buy it? Okay, maybe you know a good website or something, but does the general public? No. The general public buys a console game expecting it to work without bugs.
Yes... I had a similar experience earlier this year...
I'd just been playing a huge amount of SSX tricky, and eneded to go down to the shops to buy some bread. I hopped in the car, started driving down the road, saw a small bump in the road and started thinking.... "I can get a 360 rotation off that jump...." fortunately reality kicked in before I attempted it.....
Thank you very much for nearly making orange juice come out my nose.... I haven't laughed that much in a while...
Meanwhile back on topic...
I tend to stick to one particular name... "Zeitgeist"... but if that's taken I'll usually go for ZzzzSleep give or take a z or two.......
But for many other people, I can see how these casual games would be so appealing. Many are simple, easy to grasp concepts*, like Tetris or card games the users already know. I knew a girl who was incredibly hooked on Snake. Or Nibbles...
Ok, so everyone has seen nibbles on a mobile phone, but when are they going to release "Gorillas"?
Only after reading the first response, did the theme music kick in for me.... To stop myself singing that first line over and over again, I decided to find the lyrics and post them for anyone else suffering so....
So according to hem.passagen.se the lyrics are....
Denver, the last dinosaur
He's my friend and a whole lot more
Denver, the last dinosaur
Shows me a world I never saw before
Everywhere we go
We don't really care
If people stop and stare
At our pal dino
Creating history thru the rock n' roll spotlight
We've got a friend who helps us, we can do alright
That's Denver, the last dinosaur
He's my friend and a whole lot more
Denver, the last dinosaur
Shows me a world I never saw before.
Whether they are the actual lyrics or not, I have no idea.....
That's what I thought when I first read this....
BTW, was it possible to ever complete Paradriod? I remember downloading a C64 emulator for it and playing through about 4 or five enitre ships, but it got really samey after that.....
I really liked being able to go into FPS mode in Dungeon Keeper. It meant that you were able to do things like tell a creature to start sniping at someone, or just go exploring with a little imp.... Ah, the memories.....
This is great news!
Archon is one of the few C64 games that I still play today...
If only a Gamecube version would be released though... *Sigh*
ZzzzSleep

Hey! Just because we lurkers don't post, doesn't mean that we're not interested in games news.
"Destroy him my robots".
Were there any other C64 games that had speech like Impossible Mission?
ZzzzSleep
I wish I had mod points today to mod that horrid pun up. Ah well.... have some virtual mod points anyway kfg....
ZzzzSleep
I wouldn't put too much faith in the rumour.... CA games are available here in

The Mario Party games is another great series that are wonderful for parties, although they do take a larger time commitment than SSB.
Wow! Stuffed toys are what has always enticed me to buy games /sarcasm>

I only know of Rez because someone sent me a link to this "interesting" article.

Roborally is in fact an original Wizards game. It was created by the same guy that created MTG, Richard Garfield.

IIRC Wizards was granted an exclusive patent on the play mechanic of trading card games....
