Well if the redemption rates this year are anythign like last year, then I'd imagine that your odds are pretty good. Only like 5% of the caps were redeemed last year. I wouldn't mind an ipod mini. Back to drinking diet pepsi again I guess.
yes, but from what I understand, things were more stable during the open and closed betas. Which is strange at best, inexcusable at worst, especially since now all those people are paying $15 a month. Of course, most of these problems are occurring on the top 12 or so servers. I picked a low population server, and we haven't seen as many problems. Its getting worse though, as people with broken servers, come to us. Hopefully something will change after today's maintenance.
Well, it was my first time to the site, and down at the bottom they have a link that says "Hide Grateful Dead and Phish" which is kind of nice. That does get rid of a lot of stuff though, and can't say I'm crazy about most of the other stuff they've got, but it is a nice effort.
Yup, one of those and an ElGato box, you've got a Tivo like that will drop right into a network, and allow other uses on the TV, email, web whatever. Very nice. Especially since for 20 bucks over the price of the mac mini, you can get the TV out, and then add the extra componets whenever. Which is what I'm planning on doing. Stereo DVD box with email and music streaming. Then tivo, then 5.1 sound or something. Very nice.
You won't be able to legally purchase new ones in New Jersey, which is why this law is utterly pointless. Want a Dumb, gun? Drive however many hours it is to another state, find a gun show, and boom, Dumb Gun.
It hasn't? I would say that the History Channel has gotten better over time. There was a time that it fully deserved the monkier "The Hitler Channel" I think over the years they've gotten a lot better at showing there are other points in history beyond WWII.
yes, and those limits are only to the number of concurrent users. You can make as many as you want, its just that only 10 can be conncected at the same time.
Yup, and that's what I'm going to buy one for. I have a Blue & White G3, that I was planning on upgrading to handle the elgato stuff, but now, I'm just going to get one of these, put some more ram in it, and call it a day. All they need is a good media remote, and I'm set, and it's purdy! God I love apple.
I saw on the forums that they're supposed to get rid of that with the next patch. Now when they're going to push the patch is a very different question.
yes, but their last 4 releases have come out on mac and windows at the same time in the same box. Which is pretty good. not to mention that having a mac version puts them ahead of 90% of developers anyway.
Or they leaked it with the intent of suing and creating a big fuss over it. If they hadn't sued would everybody be in such a fuss over it? Didn't think so.
Yes, but they dual license it dont' they? So if you want to use it in a commercial game, then ID still charges you. Not as much as they do when they haven't released it GPL, but they still charge.
And this is exactly why Apple won't do this, why cannabalize their powermac sales, just to increase their market share? A large part of their business is going to use Mac whatever the cost, so why give them a cheap alternative, keep them paying for the big guns, so to speak.
not all games for the consoles are published by the creators of the console. All three have a large publishing base, but they don't mint and market it as you put it. They do approve everything that gets published on the consoles. So they did say it was ok for whoever it was to sell the game on their console. The Gathering published the Guy Game. I doubt if a publisher went to both of them asking to be published, if both would agree to it, as they would then be directly marketing for each other, and that'd double plus ungood, as they say.
yes, and then when somebody gets dicked over by them, we can't talk about it because of what it got named. Effectively ending the abilty of us to fight back.
Yeah, if you game at all you'll spend that on buying games in a month. I think part of the appeal of MMORPGs is that there is a ton of content to keep you occupied. I'm getting World of Warcraft, and my big justification for it is that this one game I'll be able to play it for a few months. I haven't seen any games coming up that I'm real interested in, so I figured I can get world of warcraft, and pay for it and feed my addiction. (Stoopid Open Beta)

Nope, wrong. The PSP Battery is replaceable, new ones are just 45 bucks a pop. I do believe that the only way to charge them is plugged into the PSP though, so most of your point still stands, but you can charge them up and have standbys waiting.
Yes, and I think a growing population with preferences similar to yours exists, and will become the next large voting block of the Republican party. That is if the evangelicals currently running things realize that they'll need new blood to stay in power and shift toward the center. If the Democrats don't do the same, I'd imagine that these people will break off and make a new party. We saw the possibilty of that with Perot in 92, I think given the current state of things, buy the 2012 elections, there will be signifigant turmiol in both the major parties, and either a new party, or major shifts in their party platforms. 2000 showed us that the current choices don't completely match the people's preferences. I believe that very effective campaigning caused the results in 2002 and 2004. When Bush is out of the picture, it'll be interesting to see what happens, especially with the generation that saw 2000 as their first election begin to care more about politics.
Yes, but that doesn't mean that everybody who thinks George Bush has better morals than John Kerry is an Evangelical Christian. Nor does it mean that everyone in a Red state is one as well. Nor does it mean that everybody who voted for Bush is one again. I think that greater mobilization among Evangelicals is responsible for Bush being relected, but to say that even 20% of americans are that hard line is silly. ( and I believe it was 22% that stated morals, but nearly as many said the economy 21% and terrorism 21%)
no, by denying it before CBS broadcasted it, Rove gave credence to the fact that it was real, if it wasn't why were they denying it? So when it turned out to be fake, CBS got egg all over its face. Clever, I must admit.
There are two things that any actor who plays James Bond must be able to make you believe.
1. That he could kick your ass.
2. That he could steal your woman.
The better in balance that each actor has these two traits the better a Bond that actor will be. Of course, now we come to the bonds:
Sean Connery. In my opinion the Bond that has these two in the best balance. I'll leave examples of why to the reader.
George Lazenby. I would say the worst, if only because he had his scale way too far on the "Steal your woman" metric. In other words, he looked like a pussy doing the stuff that Bond does. Hell, he gets married for christ sakes. If that doesn't scream, limp wristed fighting style (in the context of Bond that is), I don't know what does. (and yes I know Connery also got married, but as I recall that was part of his cover, please correct me if I"m wrong. but my point still stands, there's a reason lazenby was gone after one movie)
Roger Moore. A good Bond but was slightly to the woman side. He didn't look totally silly doing stunts and whatnot, but if you met the guy in a random bar, do you really think he'd beat you down? I don't think so.
Tim Dalton. Heavy on the Ass kicking scale (as the parent points out). Dalton totally looks like he would flip out and start killing people at any moment. This is detrimental to his believabilty in scoring with the ladies, as he is ass ugly.
Pierce Brosnan. A good balance, but just doesn't pull it off as well in my opinion as Connery did, if only because the scripts he works with tend to be god awful.
And there we have the rankings of the Bonds, so let it be written so let it be done, or something.
GBA, Minish Cap. not the Gamecube fanboi game that everybody was creaming themselves over.
Yes, it comes from South Park, where Mr. Garrison is refering to a woman's period. Note, that he is gay.
Especially since you can tilt the bottles and see if they're a winner or not. I was 54 for 54 last year in 20oz bottles.
