    RHEL its just a collection of GNU software. (Including all redhat-config-* tools).
    The only thing with copyright protected is the logos. Redhat restricts you from using they logos. That's it.
    You can legaly install RHEL3 in any desktop/server. No problem as long as you don't ask for support.

    There is one small difference in the way English and (spanish/portuges) conquered new lands.

    England decided they were tu cute and just killed most natives and put the rest in "reservations". Then they got some good Black slaves for them.

    On the other side of the history Spain and Portugal. Slaved the native population and with time mixed blod with them.

    Are you sure it won't work ? I think the solution is just the USB. If that is the case I'm planing on just adding a USB card to my beige and install Phanter.

    I have phanter here and I'm just waiting for my new video card (Radeo 7000 64mb) so try installing it on my beige 266mhz desktop. Let's see what hapends.

    Not quite. Apple has managed to sell PC at higer prices than Dell for quite some time.
    Apple sells differently it sells class, design, status, quality and functionability!

    That is the only reason why Apple is still around and are gone

    I just found this Link And aparently was writen by the guy that got the job:

    I can't give you any IBM links but IBM was the contractor. Lots o projects never come out to the problic.

    The funy part here is that companys require you to know MFC, .NET, and WinFX for a job developing a Visual Basic App what has NOTHING TO DO with any of those frameworks. grrr. Some times that gets to my nerves!

    They do have they own distro and is based in RedHat.
    Cisco has it's own dristro to. I know this for a fact because a couple of months ago I enterviewed for a job building a Dristro for Cisco under a IBM contract.
    Sadly they hired some one else :(

    Chances are they are emulating the 49ROM because it's easyer than rewriting those lost algoritms writen in Saturn ASSAMBLER.
    The problem I imagine is the amount of installed memory and interface changes. It will be to slow for the real saturn cpu.
    Just guessing!

    The only problem Is that those are not ARM (may FAST cpu used in PDA's). They are not open source and I dont see the makers releasing PDA binarys any time soon!.

    There are probable other Open Source tools that can be ported to your favorite PDA but not Matlab :(

    built in keyboard. At beginin you think is over kill because gratiffy is so nice and you love it. Think again. The keyboard is realy nice and If you are a IM user then it's realy cool been able to install VeriChat . Thera tons of other cool thinkgs you can do. I have a Kyocera 7150 and a Treo 180. The 7150 is cool and looks like a phone but the Treo has te keyboard that's the one I use.
    I great complement for the Treo 180 is JOT.

    GNUStep is an effort to duplicate the Next environment. WindowMaker uses GNUStep libs so you can say GNUStep is a desktop environment were WindowMaker is it's window manager.

    It has been said 100's of times. Apple is a Hardware companay. They make money by selling Hardware.
    And they have been very succesfull at that. They own about 3% to 4% of the GLOBAL pc market. That's lots of pc's seriously! They are the ONLY PC/Harware company still a live from the era of the first PC's (before they were called PC's).

    Remember Commodore, they it's spinn off Amiga, Atari, Adam (coleco), Tandy, Next ...

    Apple is still with us makeing great products and changing they way people think about Comps every day.

    We do have good propulsion systems that use Nuclear Energy the problem is that sending radioactive mather in a space craft is restricted because is considered unsafe to the general pupulation (in the case of a space craft blowing up in low orbit or during takeoff/entry) and the lack of gravity is not a problem. there are machines designed to simulate gravity on space.

    Creating a moon base of operations is what the Human Race needs. To start populating the space with real space stations out of earth gravity ring and colonizing Mars. Our pupulation is groing and the resources in this rock are not unlimited. We need to do something about it NOW that we can.

    One of the bigest problems with NASA is the fact that its budget is way to small (compare it to the US Army) it's something in the range of 1/1000

    In my opinion the safest solution is to have a private network. conected to the internet with a very restricted firewall. ej (only allow Web Cache "squid").

    Allow email but remove ANY attachmens comming IN or OUT (this in case a smart boy find's cool to mail something from inside the building)

    Giving google access to developers is good because It let's them check news and consult global resources.

    PowerPC was developed originaly in a joint development by Motorola, Apple and IBM. After that IBM and Motorola created they own additions to the lines (ej altivex). But basicaly is still the same PowerPC implementation to witch Apple has access in the worst case scenario.

    I mainly think Appla has no interest in manufacturing it's own cpu's. It will be to expensive to build MAC only CPU's.

    I was there when WEB was the new thing and there were just a handfull of sites.

    We just to use ftp a lot, gopher (gikes), I loved archie for ftp searches, and of course all the loved telnet bbs and forums

    But now all services are been dump to the web even ftp that works so good. Lot's of companys now only host files in web servers (with sucks)
    Sadly the WEB has taken over the internet and now acounst for a very high percent of the internet. So correcting you...

    It's mainly to control the price for a given market. As a sample in mexico a set of 5 rasor blades (ultra censor 3 something) go for about $4.5 usd here in us they go for about $45 usd. So setting DVD region you can protect you market from cheaper imports. That's part of the hole PAL/NTSC thing to!
