  1. Re:Not that expensive on Studios Push for $50 Early Home Movie Rentals (variety.com) · · Score: 4, Interesting

I just wait until the movie is shown on one of the premium networks that I pay the cable company $$$ to watch. I haven't been to a theater in years - big flat screen television, great sound system, bathroom mere steps away (and CLEAN), no idiots around me talking or using their phones, and snacks bought at much lower prices.

I don't understand the need to be one of the first people to see a movie. When I see people lined up around the block to see a movie the first day it's released, I have to fight back the urge to tell them that the damned movie will be shown tomorrow and the next day and the next day, etc.

    Fifty bucks? Count me out.

  2. I do believe you are a college freshman. Your spelling of "college" is a dead giveaway. Put down the joint. It's beginning to rot your brain. :)

  3. If we want to be totally honest, most judges are really politicians and deserve to be called "so-called judges".

You take two hated professions (lawyer and politician), and combine them in a new profession (judge) and you expect the outcome to be good? That's hilarious!

  4. Just from the summary (because I didn't read TFA):
    . . . claims to be cheaper . . .
    . . . only delivered a few hundred all-electric buses . . .
    . . . make a bold prediction . . .
    . . . seem to indicate there's a shift . . .

It's fairly safe to assume that this is just CEO Ryan Popple's dream and he's actually begging for money from investors.

When I'm reading news, I tend to open sites in multiple tabs and it's really annoying when two or more of them start playing sounds when I haven't even got to them yet. By the time I've read the content of other sites and get to the racket-makers, they've already finished their annoying videos (or just replaying them over and over!).

At least Firefox has a sound icon on each tab so I can mute the ones I don't want to listen to.

But we'd better grab Soros junior, too. He's as bad as his father.

I think Snowden should be released with no charges once he's back here.

  7. I really wish there was a way to sort the search results when I'm looking for an app. All the crappy ones usually show up first and I have to scroll endlessly to find the right one or a good one.

  11. Agreed. I rarely use my phone's camera for taking real photographs. I'd rather use my DSLR with decent glass, better performance at higher ISOs, and more control over aperture and shutter speed. The DSLR even does better video than a phone.

The phone's camera is handy for times when a real camera is not available and you have to have some kind of shot.
