The more physical activity there is the more the body needs sleep to recuperate. There is also mental activity to be considered here but in the past I have found that not being physically active dulls the brain too.
Its been more than 10 years since I was in high school and we were using the 3.5 inch disks in India even back then. So I can say with certainty that it certainly is not the 5.25 inch or 8 inch floppies.
Those hoping for sequels to farcry can rejoice if the takeover succeeds. You will now have farcry 2005, 2006, 2007.... with just the names of the characters changed.
I never get you people:). Why do people stand in a line for buying a new game or Xbox ? Cant they wait for a couple of days ? I am also a hard core gamer and I have the latest gaming equipment so that I can play Doom 3 and Half Life 2 with all the eye candy, but I have never gone and stood in a line for a game on opening day. It just seems a wierd concept when you can preorder and they arrive at your doorstep in a couple of days, or just go to the shop after a day or so and pick it up.
What makes you think these same companies wont warez these tools. If they can write spam, viruses and malware they sure can hack these tools so that it doesnt phone back to redmond with phone number and mailing address.
I've read Prey and almost all of Crichton's book. I dont agree with his view wrt technology but his books are fun neverthless.
As for despising Crichton one cant really complain too much when the theme that sells in almost all form of media is the "technology developed by evil corporation X brings about doom". Even the popular computer games ( doom 3 and half life 2 ) have that theme. I dont see people despise them for that.
Yeah we sure can....
The cold weather dried out the flowers and the Honey Bees couldnt feed. So they turned into giant bloodsucking monsters and fed on the Dinosaurs blood, thus killing them off. Of course once the weather cleared the flowers returned and they turned back to normal. So beware the return of the giant bloodsucking honey bees when another "nuclear winter" comes:).
Damn slashdotted already. Which systems did they compare ? I have a corsair watercooling system and it does a great job with cooling and a breeze to setup too. The only negatives are its price (~200$) and noise. But the noise is not all that bad. Just a sort of humming sound of the fan.
But its a bit more silent that all the case fans and cpu fans I used to have.
# The claim is mostly inaccurate because it presupposes that the copying individual would otherwise have bought a copy from the publisher. That is occasionally true, but more often false; and when it is false, the claimed loss does not occur.
The very fact that the person is enjoying a copyrighted material he/she has not paid for is a kind of theft. If someone cant afford something he shouldnt be able to make use of it. The copyright holder should make attempts at stopping this theft otherwise its not fair on the people who have legally bought the music. Of course the method employed by the RIAA/MPAA is questionable but that doesnt mean that its okay for people to trade ripped music on p2p services.
Also there are various definitions of loss. In case of copying if 50% of the people hearing the music are doing so illegally that means 50% less money for the artist ( I am aware that a lot of the money goes to the RIAA/MPAA). One can argue that most stuff is overpriced but the counter point to that is if all the people bought the music then the producer of the music might just reduce the cost due to the higher volume.
If AES encrypts the Mac address it would make base 802.11 not work. So it sends the mac address normally. But it uses the mac address and some other header fields along with the encryption key to make the encryption more tight.
One place that I am hoping it will grow is in the Corporate desktop segment. Windows itself is a big security risk and on top of that all the Exchange garbage makes any corporations security look like swiss cheese. It would be nice to have a desktop where one didnt have to waste so much time just fighting all the viruses and all the crap.
But inspite of all the advantages of linux in the office, the one thing thats stopping it from gaining ground there is exchange and outlook.
Dunno where you have been looking but its the other way around. GT's are available everywhere while ultras are hard to find. For eg. Evga's site shows it in stock
http://evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?Part_Number= 256-A8-N344-AX
BTW just bought a GT and boy am I happy I got it. While doom 3 comes I am busy fragging away in Farcry with the SM3 patch playing at 1280x1024 with 4xaa and 16xaf:).
Thats only by the year end and not overall. Also the GSM operators have got a good grip and in their forecasts they wouldnt have considered those users switching in herds.
And you dont have to be elite in india to afford a cell phone. You just have to be middle class:-).
Good point. I was going to post this and found this post. Anyway people should stop measuring standards of living in terms of dollars:). For example give me $1 in india which gets me 50 rupees and I will get a full loaf of bread, 100 g of margarine, a dozen eggs , salt and still have a few rupees left over. There you go, an entire breakfast for a full family under $1;-). Other things are similar there. The only problems most people in India have is when buying stuff manufactured outside (electronic goods) since the price difference is too great compared to stuff manufactured in the country. This is one of the main reasons why things manufactured outside the US is cheaper than things manufactured in the US. The employers have to pay a lot less to the workers than they would have to do in the US.
Hinduism does not believe in many gods but in god as the infinite. That means god is everywhere, around us and within us. This also means that you can use any image/idol whatever to represent God and worship god. So you can worship Jesus for all you want but you still can be a hindu if you believe in the philosophies ( i.e. infinite god instead of a single person).
Man that pace is sloooooooowww. No wonder kids dont like to study. One of the things I loved about schooling was that I learnt new stuff every year. I learnt basic Trig by 12-13 and was solving differential equations by 16. But I didnt go to an American school or a British school so cant comment about that. I went to an Indian school. In fact to get admission into the top Engineering Institutes for my Bachelors I was solving Problems in General Physics by I.E.Irodov at this point.
Noone speaks sanskrit in India. It is only studied and spoken in some academic language studies circles. We are taught some amount of Sanskrit in school but that is generally not enough.

This social life thingy is way overrated I tell you :D

It was actually Indians who invented the zero. The Arabs merely transmitted it. What you call Arabic Numberals are actually Indian Numerals.

From what I get to understand this is claimed to be one of the quitest cards.
