There are so many times that I have wanted to cast some things from my Android phone but couldn't easily do it.
What exactly is this "cast" thing you and the article mention?
It take it, it has something to do with the chrome browser, but I've not really used chrome except for one try many years ago for a day or so....but what does it do and will other browsers work with it too besides chrome?
That's not the main reason most people own residential property, especially R1 or R2. They own it to live there. That's why it is single and two family zoned. And they want to be able to sell it for a reasonable price when they move away and not have to take a loss because the next door neighbor is operating a business next door.
I fail to see how using a property for AirBnB is different than using a property for longer term rentals....what difference does the length of lease matter?
And if you want to get picky...if something is zoned residential, guess what....people ARE residing in the homes in question, just for different lengths of time.
...I might be tempted to live somewhere other than California.
Absolutely NO....with the views you espoused, and likely other far left, socialist type thinking relating to other subjects and lifestyle (taxes, illegal immigration, gun laws, etc)....PLEASE stay out in California and don't leave trying to spread that type of cancerous thought into the current "free" states.
enting an appartment on Air BnB removes it from the long term rental pool. This increases housing costs for everyone else, due to lower supply.
So what?
A property should be able to do most anything they want with their property, including deriving profit from it as much as possible, that's a reason you OWN property in many cases.
Gentrification drive prices up too....but if you don't allow that, then you never see neighborhoods excel and grow.
You just can't cater to the lowest denominator all the damned time, and there are ALWAYS winners an losers in life.
he reality is that they can do anything they damned well please until and unless someone with more guns either convinces them to, or makes them through force, stop.
Hmm...so, what are the gun laws like in Detroit?
A quick look seems to indicate they are somewhat restrictive, much more so than where I live, so..that might tell you something.
It's nice to know the Trump Admin is willing to forfeit your security and (sense of) safety due to the widespread objection of Wall Street.
I"m not the biggest Trump supporter in the world, but I think you might have misread things:
Two bills in the House of Representatives and Senate would broaden the powers of the inter-agency Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in hopes of stopping Chinese efforts to acquire sophisticated U.S. technology. The bipartisan legislation has the support of President Donald Trump's administration.
It appears that the Trump administration supports sanctions and restrictions on the Chinese and the export of US tech to them....
Their support of this policy is raising objections from the private companies trying to see this stuff to the chinese.
Presumably done to reflect or counter US and Trump's anti-China policies, China specifically targets US-made software with protectionist policies. I know this because I work in sales and I'm impacted:(
This isn't anything new.
The chinese have been spying and their espionage ranges from military to commercial.....and we really used to be cognizant of it and fight it back in the earlier days.
However, back then (60's and earlier), china wasn't the econmomic powerhouse they have become in recent decades....and while we like the money, we've let our guard down and let them take the upper hand in negotiations, etc.
The thing is, China thinks waaaay ahead with their plans, whereas we in the US seem to do well to see past 5 days, much less a year at a time.
I'm not a huge Trump fan, but one thing that the administration seems to at least be doing, is trying in some ways to address chinese aggression, which IS going on, has been going on, and trust me, they have long term laid plans to KEEP being aggressive.
They spy on everyone (not just the US)....and look how they are trying to encroach on international waters off their coast with the building of artificial "islands" and militarizing them.
Yes, we have to work with them, but we need to be wary of them and WILLING to stand up to them and say "no" from time to time.
If we only think of the commercial all mighty dollar in short term plans and actions, we'll lose the fight more than we already are doing currently.
We're letting them have too much leverage on us and the world as it is....
Perhaps the "knowledge" test for cabbies needs to go away, rather than be a requirement for everyone, much like how in the US, the morse code requirements for radio licensing was done away with....
What's been consistently hilarious, laugh out loud, is Weekend Update. Currently Colin Jost & Michel Che are doing a great job.
Hmm..I've been watching since not far after it started.
And over all..I find it MUCH less funny now.
And the current weekend update crew I find to pretty much be the LEAST funny crew pretty much in the whole history of the show.
I think there was one 80's season that had a guy one season that might have been worst, but I can't remember who that was....but these current guys stink.
The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.
It is actually a VICTORY for the United States...otherwise you'd have only a few states on either coast directing how the entire country is ruled and managed, and that is NOT fair and is not how the US was set up.
You are a citizen of your state first, and a citizen of the United States second.
With this country being so geographically spread out...each state has its own unique needs and views of the people and they need to be proportionally represented.
The nice thing about all this is...it allows the states to all be somewhat different if they choose. One size does not fit all....and if you don't like how your state runs things, then you can move to one that houses people more in your line of thinking.
The electoral college and make up of congress reflects this.
Itâ(TM)s the advertisers who pay the bills that ultimately decide. They are the ones who decide what the content is worth by sponsoring content they want their product to be associated with.
But it doesn't appear to be direct action from the advertisers pulling the ads...it is YouTube doing a blanket decision "no ads at all for your channel" type thing or a lot of genres, that till now no one really had a problem with...
Well... if they're aware their service is encouraging breaking of public road safety regulations... yeah, they should put a soft speed cap on, perhaps by fining drivers who exceed the limits.
Oh come on...
I don't know where you live, but where I live and have lived, if you're going the speed limit, you're in serious jeopardy of getting run over by every other driver on the road.
No one goes the posted speed limits here....I guess, except a few female uber drivers I guess. I'm guessing those are the ones everyone is honking and and getting pissed off about?
Funny, when I read that I infer self preservation, by avoiding the type of life threatening or permanently traumatizing situations that are more likely to happen at night (e.g., drunk male passengers). That's a dramatically different situation from actual personal choice.
It's the old Risk vs Rewards decision tree we've seen before for age in almost any endeavor to make money.
It certainly is all about choice here, much as it is in some form or fashion any time you want to make more money.
Hmm....I guess the left leaning liberals aren't satisfied by having most of the regular media in their court (ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN)....they now want to make it so that internet related access to both sides of the issues are squashed and only show their side too?
just have no need to drive to a store to hope they have a CD I want and pay more for. I'll buy on-line. I don't need to hold it in my hand before purchasing. I'll buy on line.
Yeah, I tend to buy online too....BUT I don't want to see CDs go away....
How else will I get my music in a DRM free, lossless format?
Streaming just doesn't provide high enough quality for my home stereo system, which I've built over the years for real listening times.
mp3's are fine for the gym or car which provide horrible listening environments, but for my good system when I want to really sit and listen and enjoy....I want that higher quality format.

We all thank you for staying your ass in CA!!

I mean, do you just book a ABnB room downtown to have a place to do your crack or heroin after you score?
Doesn't seem to be much else to do in what's left of that city.
I"m not the biggest Trump supporter in the world, but I think you might have misread things:

Maybe this is just nature at work, and putting some needed chlorine into the gene pool?
I have a very hard time believing this...there were a LOT of advertisers....I don't think the advertisers said "no"...I think YouTube said no.....
Perhaps the "knowledge" test for cabbies needs to go away, rather than be a requirement for everyone, much like how in the US, the morse code requirements for radio licensing was done away with....

Ok, I give up...WTF is a "safe state"?
I don't believe I've heard or read that term in the Constitution or other documents that formed the US Union....??

You've obviously never been to a crawfish boil down here in LA.
I can knock out 10lbs of boiled crawfish so far it will make your head spin.
I learned a powerful lesson in college here...if you can't eat them fast, you end up hungry.
It takes me about 2-3 seconds to pop the tail, suck the head and slurp the tail meat out almost in one fluid motion.
It isn't that hard if you know how to eat them...and they are properly boiled.
How do they TASTE?!?!?
I'm happy to say that crawfish season in the New Orleans area is just around the corner....YUM!!
....gun videos and more conservative speech related sites, much like YouTube does?
Oh come on...

How many in the US?
That's what we're talking about here....
Is this something common in the UK? Sounds like a girls name in the US.
Or, is this a Bruce Jenner "change of life" type thing in this case?
Yeah, I tend to buy online too....BUT I don't want to see CDs go away....

Ok, at this point, I have absolutely NO idea what country you are talking about....
It certainly isn't the US, I've never heard anyone here talking about compulsory voting....left or right.
