EA seems to really like DLCs. I propose a solution to pay $60 and DLCs to enhance a barely-functional game.
Separate DLC packages at $1 minimum for: 1) knife 2) handguns 3) rifle 4) a playable character 5) explosives 6) Ammunition 7) being able to run 8) crouching option 9) first-aid packs 10) ability to chat with others
These 10 packs would bring the cost back to $70. If you're the peaceful type and want to play the game without killing anyone, you only pay $1 to purchase a playable character.
The new swimsuits Speedo came out with caused quite a problem because it did give National / international caliber swimmers faster swims. I think even, what now 10 years after they came out, there's still controversy.
Access to equipment and technology has been debated for many years now in sports. My only quip about it, is it doesn't always work out. The exeception, I always think about is the Atlanta games. So many people were dropping out from heat exhaustion... the Atlanta climate is special.
If the Olympics are supports to be "faster, higher, stronger" (sounds more like an ad for drugs:) !!!! ) then the games should be in a neutral location for climate, altitude (alpine skiing obviously has to be done at altitude) and political reasons. Everyone should have access to same equipment and be under the same scope of drug testing.
That said, assuming this shoe does provide a 3.5% difference (I've read other posts and this figure seems dubious), this is enough of a margin in Sprinting to give someone a shot at breaking a record. Not only that, but it would also be within the margin gained by using performance enhancing substances.
If anything, equipment is just one piece of the puzzle. There have been for many years, certain sports/events and nations suspect in cheating (doping, rigging judges) and so on in these world-class sports that I've personally tuned out.
Personally, I'd have loved to have been an Olympic Athlete. For some reasons though it sucks to be the athletes.
If you do care and are sufficiently informed your just as likely to vote for the same party/candidate that an ill-informed non-caring voter is likely to pick.

Diablo III Released

FTFY.
Three nines could also mean more than 3 months of downtime per year and four nines (4 months). This would indicate an employer with a very generous holiday policy. Six nines is the golden target (that is 6 months of downtime per year).
Windows 8 is Beta. The developers probably have the code established to Microsoft Gold release quality right now. This just means that they will have the opportunity to code to more secure industry standards.
I wasnt sure on the Sylvania brand, so I bought a few GE LED bulbs from a local Canadian Tire. They had a sizeable display of some of the newer GE bulbs. I'm quite happy with those. The CT store also had a small display with different energy efficient bulbs you could try in store.
Price wise, and IMO the quality will prob be less, IKea has a variety of LED lights for sale at really good prices (I think ikea proprietary plugs though so bulbs have to be bought with them). If you're looking for fixtures or lamps, they might be a good place to get.
I'd like to find something that makes reading pleasant on the eyes.
I agree its a fantastic story and one that would probably make it into some best-seller NY Times style if it weren't a "Video Game". The soundtrack, is absolutely fantastic.
I'm disappointed mind you. There's a lot of nuances to the plot you'll never find out unless you spend 100's of hours exploring the city. Not everyone has this much time (or wants to spend it gaming). Mostly, I'm disappointed by the last game. It was way too short - beat it in 4 hours or so. (I'm not contradicting my last point, in that I think the game should be 12 - 15 hrs).
I most enjoyed the ending of one of the games where you're escaping the warehouse bit. That was cool. More of that for the next game and I'm all in.
I was playing on PS3 because of the PC problems I'd heard about. It was my first time playing on console and its brutally hard to get used to it vs Mouse + Keyboard.
That said, the writers and developers are doing a spectacular job at Ubi especially on Assassins. The plot-line had my head spinning on the conspiracies for a while much like Metal Gear series.
From what it looks like in the Warrant here is what happened:
1) Undercover agents with ICE and IRS working in Maryland, placed winning bets on this gambling site 2) Upon winning, agents requested proceeds by Check or Wire. The addresses where funds were sent are to Maryland 3) Gambling is illegal in Maryland 4) 18 USC 1955 "(1) “illegal gambling business” means a gambling business which— (i) is a violation of the law of a State or political subdivision in which it is conducted;" (source : http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1955)
Because of 1-4, the gambling site violated 18 USC 1955. So the domain gets seized.
As the argument goes, everything is ok until NIMBY. So has Monsanto gotten a taste of its own medicine?
These organic farmers could certainly combine resources to patent a GMO seed which would end up on growing unexpectedly and unlicensed to Monsanto. Shame Monsanto would need to be sued.
I don't like the reasoning either, but I like the idea behind it. If nothing else, this might help have a more transparent government.
We can audit all their personal work and work internet accounts. Accounts in plural because there are the ones they *say* they have and the ones people haven't found out about yet.
I regret not voting in the last election. I would have regrettingly voted Liberal. I can see how different the Conservatives really are, IMO, and it would have been worth the effort to try and keep them out of the majority.
If good, honest, hard-working, intelligent and well-educated people ran and worked in Parliament, we wouldn't have these problems. There should be plenty more volunteers. The wages are good. We just need to eliminate the need for a life-time of earnings or outside contributions as a requirement to run a competitive campaign.
FTA: "L'expression "exploser" la concurrence est régulièrement utilisée dans les discours de motivation pour signifier une victoire et ne porte donc pas à confusion, selon la plainte."
The sentence from the above clearly explains, or at least as far as the author of the article is concerned, that this expression is regularly used to highlight a victory in a competition. I'm french from Quebec. I could see someone using exploser colloquially as it does in English. Though not very often.
The article has this tidbit though: "...par des agents de la Sûreté du Québec qui le soupçonnaient de tentative d'acte terroriste"
Which says that Quebec Police had him under surveillance under suspicion he was a terrorist. I think this combined with a text message that makes specific reference to New York is what got him arrested.
Interesting case. I certainly hope if he wins the lawsuit the $100k comes along with a very sincere apology and a change in policies.
After Dobbs' comment broke out on the internet, I hope this puts the issues of Copyright and Lobbying on the forefront of the political agenda.
Millions of people are currently unemployed and our infrastructure is in need of repair.
These 'AA assholes should be given the boot. We have many other issues like unemployment to deal with. The 'AA people are a greedy, whiny bunch who like to tie up our court systems (at no cost to them) and take time away from politicians to do other work. This has gone on for 100 years (look at the music performance controversy in 1920 or 1930).
I know its the "point" of lobbying. But lobbying in general, or the way it is corruptly practices, needs to end.
That still isn't fair. I could refrain from paying you for a few years. But I'll have a yatch and mansion in the bahamas waiting for you after your term is over.....
There's I'm sure many many ways around that system. No one is ever going to chuck these assholes in jail no matter what they do.
I'm another/.'er more than happy to recommend TekSavvy. I'm on a 5 MB DSL dry loop. I've been a customer over 3 years w/ service in Vancouver and now Toronto.
Parent poster can always switch to TekSavvy for Cable high-speed. Uses Rogers, same modem basically, except you use TekSavvy backbone. I haven't tried it though.
Is the CRTC over its head? Yes. Are they the perfect example of a bureaucracy that has grown for absolutely no reason? Yes. Absurd waste of taxpayer's money. Yes.
A few Bryan Adams songs are not considered Canadian content because of a CRTC formula for Canadian music. Those songs if I recall were recorded in the US. I'll save the diatribe of reading the policy.
Basically, its a points system. One point if artisits is Canadian. One point song was written by Canadian. Minus one point recorded in the US. Mine one engineered by American.
To keep a radio license or avoid heavy fines, you need to air a certain number of songs considered Canadian according to the points above every hour.
Satellite radio and internet radio have been a great way to avoid this unnecessary regulation. And for those that hate Nickelback internet and satellite radio are a blessing (Thank you!). Nickelback is unfortunately a Canadian band and gives stations points for playing the song. Their songs are all on heavy rotation because of this.
I'm French Canadian. I've debated with academics and government folk on Canadian culture. No one has yet to convince me it exists, I firmly believe it is a romanticized dream.
Yes, the only problem is for the government folk. They need to keep a career and a pension.
I don't know if you actually live in Van right now (I did). And I've also live in Ottawa.
Spend a few years in Ottawa and review your post. Observe what goes on. Need I add, work in government? I can almost guarantee that your post while probably factually correct is not reality.
As someone else has already replied, politicians are for the most part all lawyers. Lobbiests are lawyers as well. Mash the two brains together and they will come up with very legal ways to get around the laws. Remember that they wrote them and can rewrite them to their satisfaction.

I'm surprised there are still drugs left in the world.
According to Dr. Dennis Leary, Keith Richards already did all the drugs.
"The real question of course is how Obama would handle Galactus."
Answer, depends on one key factor.
Is Galactus contributing to an Obama-friendly Super PAC?
Yes - Obama: "Devouring the Earth is perfectly acceptable, Galactus".
No - All out war.

As Dave Chappelle would say, the cop just need to "sprinkle some crack" on him.
I'm sorry but you are wrong.

I sense a great opportunity for running the local airport from a nude beach.

Good for you. I'd do the same.
Question remains, did you get further along in the interview process afterwards such as another interview or an offer?

PS3 one does same thing too.

Glove Defense would actually be very practical here. As in "If the password don't fit, then you must acquit!"

There is no need to worry.
Newscorp agents will carefully monitor student feedback ..... by hacking their voicemail accounts on their cellphones.
