They might fire off a letter or two to stop (and they did more often than people know) But they never actually went after people with the law because the amount they would spend was more than they where getting back. Fansubs (of unlicensed anime), and AMVs have generaly been considered O.K. by the Japanese companies that hold the rights to these shows.
What the hell dope you been smoking? They have never been ok with them EVER. Its just in the past they never prosecuted them because they had no plans to sell the shows here. Now just about all of their stuff has deals lined up so its in their best interests (and the company who bought the rights.)

Mac OS X is a decent OS, but not good enough to convince companies and schools around the world to spend thousands on software to make the transition away from the more commonly used Windows OS.
This is a problem of Apples sales, not of the software. If Apples sales force did better at showing that its more benifitial to spend thousands on stuff that works, versus thousands on stuff that needs thousands more to work after wards then Apple would do great.
OS X it's self is far beyond a "decent OS." Its probably the best consumer OS on the market bar none.

How the hell is this a troll comment, its the gods honest truth, go into the back issues of Wired magazine from around the launch of the PS2, the PS3 was their cover story, other than Cell, not one peice of tech they where putting into it has made it to the current PS3, in part because Blu-Ray was a last minute add-on for what was going to be a continue DVD based system with a hard drive to load games onto.
Now where the hell are those pesky facts in our past that would back this up..... oh wait, there are none since humanity has come to rely on technology for thousands of years yet has only shown improvement away from domesticated animals, rather than what he thinks.
Sony started development of the PS3 long before they released the PS2, unfortunatly other than the Cell, nothing from the early development stayed once Sony had to shoehorn Blu-ray in.
Target doesnt normally pre-order stuff, I know for a fact the DS lite wasnt available for pre-order. BestBuy has been on record saying there will be no preorders for the PS3 or Wii, its a first come first serve basis thats it.
That or online through Amazon or if your hunting down old copys, ebay. Everyone who knows games knows EB overcharges used games, and never has enough copys of new games unless you pre-order.

Go down the street to Target and you could have 50 of them.
Nintendo plans on having 10 million units ready by Christmas, well over there expected original estimate of 7 million. In contrast the 360 had 250,000 units ready last year and the PS3 only 400,000 expected by christmas.
Nintendo has PLENTY of units ready. This is a fake marketing ploy by EB/Gamestop.
1) They want to create this fake demand like they did with the DS Lite (which backfired when you could walk into any Target, ToyRUs, or Walmart and pick one up.
Or 2) They are saving all of their shipments for overpriced bundle packs on their website, since they flat out said before summer they will only offer the Wii as a bundle pack.
Either way it just goes to prove real gamers dont use the EB/Gamestop monopoly on game shops anyway. Ill just show up at Target or Best Buy when the Wii comes out thank you very much

You seem to have missed that part. The woman didnt offer a defense nor show up to court. No matter if she was right or not, she gave the middle finger to the judicial system and they broke it off for her. If there was a valid reason as to why she couldnt make it, then she could have told the courts at any time, its not like she didnt know the date. Its her own fault it happened.
The jury awarded that more because she wasted everyones fucking time, more than because of what the claim against her was, if I had been dragged in to rule how much to punsh a woman because she didnt show up to court I would have given them the full amount as well. Maybe in the future she will realize we have laws in this country.
And please stop thinking you know more than the greatest scientific minds on our planet, since they would agree with the person your disagreeing with, and have in countless papers and books.
Hell want to go one further, 30 years ago scientists would have told you teleportation in any form was the thing of star trek and not at all possible... now we know a lot better.
I know of two communities I was looking at that pulled off this very same thing, and I can go into my communities history books and see how we used to do it up till 10 years ago.
