I haven't seen it in any of the posts in this discussion so far, but I have heard John McCain referred to as John McCain, ( R, Media ) because of how his so-called "Campaign Finance Reform" would empower those who speak about politics on TV due to its Unconstitutional prohibition of paid political ads during certain periods before our elections.

Well, actually, if you get lucky, you can find these things at yard sales and flea markets. For example, at a local flea market, I found a VGA to TV adapter for for sale for $5 dollars. It turned out to be one of the nicer models and I got a good return on my investment when I sold it on eBay. I think that must have been about a year ago.

Although I think that there are ligitimate grounds to complain on about software and phone service, I think that your rant goes over the edge. The majority of people out there doing business are people like you or I who choose operating a business as what to do with their life. There is certainly nothing evil about running a business. You talk about Wal-mart, Pac Bell, Yahoo! like they have a mind of their own. I will point out to you that these companies are founded and continue to be operated by human beings.

If you want to complain about a monopoly that provides inefficient service and crushes any competition, go complain about the US Postal Service

Finally, if you are reading this comment and remember only one thing, remember this: "Free Universal Health Coverage" is 100% pure BS. Someone is going to pay for it - we are. I suppose that since you imply that you aren't in business, you are a wage-earner. That money that you never see, that is taken from you paycheck every pay period, is where the money for "free" health care will come from. The US government can't just create free health care out of thin air any more than you or I could. Just remember, when you see the likes of Hillary Clinton, Robert Byrd, John Kerry, and Tom Daschle talk about providing you free healthcare, just remember where the money is going to come from. They want to raise your taxes until they own you and you are eating out of their hand of the US government.

Just for your information, if you plan to sell often on eBay, I suggest you be prepared to fill out that form to get your $1 listing fee back many times as well, because there are numerous jerks on eBay who will bid on your stuff and then not pay, the result being that you have to relist your item. I would even guess that this happens somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of the time I sell something.

I had an experience once where I sold an old laptop PC. The 'buyer' kept promising that he would send payment, and I was always courteous in replying that I would patiently wait for his check for several weeks, but eventually, I had to relist the item and he sent me a nasty e-mail. I guess I would mod his e-mails -1, bullshit; and -1, flame for the last one.

When I think about why I use eBay, I know that if I get ripped off, eBay won't do anything about it. They say they have fraud insurance, but when I filed a claim several years ago, I got no response. The reason eBay is popular, IMHO, is that it's fun. It's exciting to bid on stuff, and sell stuff, and compulsively check 'My Ebay' 20 times a day to see if anyone else bid on your stuff. Anyone else agree?

I think that your fears are not firmly grounded in reality. Sure, new technology brings with it new risks in many cases. For example, generating energy through fission carries the risk that one of our many reactors will somehow start a terrible chain reaction that will destroy the power plant and some area around it, but that hasn't happened yet. It is my understanding that the few incidents that have occured ( 3 Mile Island ) have been very minor. Would you avoid SCUBA-diving because there is the very slight risk that maybe your breathing device and your diving partner's will fail at exactly the same time with 70 feet of water over your head?

One thing is for sure though: You may take comfort in the fact that there are hordes of lawyers looking to represent you or anyone else in court to sue Coleman for making this stuff if it blows up and hurts you.
