When Apple Records decides to follow the path of sueing Apple Computer then can this mean that we can all expect ANOTHER repackaged Beatles Greatest Hits album?

Ian Fleming's Bond

Bay of Souls

"...And target the writing to intelligent adults, rather than adolescents..."
Try reading some of the fantastic Ian Fleming James Bond novels that most of the movies were based off (although most of the movie adaptations followed the books VERY loosely) and you will see that the books were written for a very intelligent and mature adult audience and NOT solely for adolescents.
Fleming portrayed Bond as a much darker and very insecure person which is totally opposite to the kind of character he is portrayed as being in the films. Also in many Fleming Bond novels he has to rely on his wits and intelligence to get him out of sticky situations and not with high tech gadgets mostly introduced through the films.
FYI, the only film to closely follow the Ian Fleming novel of the same name was 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' and to a lesser extent 'Dr. No' IMO.
Sorry to be a party pooper but making grenades out of dud bombs and hacking to have a wireless p2p box hardly has the same level of difficulty for the average citizen:)
Sega plan to release their next generation console dubbed the "Master System" bundled with a new adventure game Alex Kidd in Miracle World.
Nintendo plan to release the eagerly awaited "NES" with new Power Glove technology.

LOL, Yeah too bad our American friends dont understand the word 'Mull' as being aussie slang for Marijuana. Which is why my post is apparently - "Offtopic":(
Typically, if you haven't touched your computer in a while, the people you chat with online see an "idle" message next to your name. Diehard slackers can crack into the program settings to make themselves appear perpetually available.
Sheesh, in MSN you can "crack" this setting by going into Options and unchecking the checkbox for 'My Status'
i.e. setting "Show me away when i'm inactive for 'x' minutes.
I wish 'cracking' other Microsoft products were this easy... hang on...
Docking: How To Record Right Now With Gen 2 (New) iPod
Posted by: iPoding
To record right now:
Plug in earphones
Activate Diagnostic Mode - Reset (hold MENU and PLAY) and hold down PREVIOUS, NEXT and CENTER buttons at Apple logo - Release buttons and you'll hear a chirp and Diagnostic mode will appear
Use Next button to navigate to "J. RECORD"
Speak into Left earphone when "BEGIN..." appears
You'll get about 6 sec. of record time and then "DONE"
Press center button for playback
Press Play/Pause to return to list of tests
This is just the mono record feature... as noted here there is also a stereo line-in but that is in the dock connector and activated by "F. LIN REC"
"...iPoding says that it has unofficial confirmation from 'sources' at Apple that full support for stereo recording will be available later this year..."
His reasoning is quite acceptable IMO, in an earlier Slashdot article he mentioned in an interview that he or his family did not have the resources to fight this in court therefore they agreed to a settlement.
Unfortunately the RIAA have chosen to target University students, the same people who in couple of years will graduate and gain employment and therefore have more disposable income to purchase music through the 'proper' channels.
It's been said many times before, the RIAA are digging there own grave with this type of legal action.
A friend came across a rather interesting dilemma when he had to replace his ink cartridge - we both went to the local computer store and found out that the price of a new replacement cartridge was slightly less than a totally new printer. This new printer also included a new cartridge - he opted for the new printer since it was USB and his old one was parallel.
So as other posters have indicated - printers are becoming more and more disposable (it looks as if a lot of other pc components are becoming this way as well)
i.e Mouse not scrolling properly because there is so much filth and dirt on the ball contacts? Don't bother cleaning it - get a new one!
There is also the availability of ink cartridge refill kits which although void warranty - seem to be a cheaper alternative to buying a new one.
"...Xbox Live Vole System..."

Definition of 'Vole':
(1) any of numerous small rodents of the genus Microtus and related genera, mostly of Eurasia and North America and having a stocky body, short tail, and inconspicuous ears: family Cricetidae.
(2)(in some card games, such as ecarte) the taking of all the tricks in a deal, thus scoring extra points.
I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions
I've tried a couple of variations like slashdto.org and slashodt.org - seems to go to just the types of pages the article is describing.

I for one would like to see Slashdot get certified as an anti-terrorist product.
Any 'pro-terrorist' website would be rendered useless after an article posting on the front page.

So what about deaf kids?

Has the article submitter actually asked them instead of going by a press release and venting on
