Many of the so called "fundamentalist" Mormon sects denounce the main Mormon church because they banned polygamy only to become a state, and they claim those who claim that God told them that polygamy was wrong are liars.
Actually, there are many Mormons practicing plural marriage. Now, in most (maybe all, I'm not really sure) states, polygamy is illegal. So, they get married through the church, but not officially with the government, and then they are able to collect welfare with all of the kids that they have to these wives. Kind of sad that our welfare system gets ripped off in such a way. Literally millions of dollars are lost to this each year.
And not only that, but he used sub par parts! A KT400 motherboard instead of an nForce2? A 256MB Non-pro video card instead of the much faster 128MB Pro? An aluminum heatsink?!
You know, it would have been a lot cooler if you would have jammed the innards of a G4 Cube inside of that old Macintosh. That and a small LCD screen. I mean, he could have at least kept it a Mac that way...
In reality, AMD is not representing the 2200+ as anything other than a CPU that performs comparably to thier competitor's chip running at 2.2GHz.
Actually, the PR rating (ie. 2200+) is supposed to compare the Athlon XP line to the original Athlon line running at that speed that the PR rating suggests. So, a 2200+ should perform the same as a 2.2GHz Athlon, not a 2.2GHz P4.
Basically, if you do this, don't be surprised if your card becomes toast a shortwhile after.
Umm, no. If you've ever overclocked, you'd understand that hardware starts getting errors when it's pushed too far. In a video cards' case, it will begin rendering things incorrectly.
The errors start happening LONG before hardware burns up, and is soon as the card is set to a slightly lower speed, the errors disappear.
Basically, if you get your card to where it gives no errors, and are able to keep it around the same temperature, it won't have any troubles.
I'd like to commend the Martian defense personnel. They did an excellent job taking out Beagle 2, but it's too bad they were too "partied out" to get Spirit. Better luck to them next time!
"Doesn't anyone find it odd that they reccomend the SAME drivers for an 8mb TNT card and a 256mb quadra or FX? The latest windows drivers are larger (8.5 Mb) than the amount of memory on the former!!"
Sure, but it's not like the entire driver file is being loaded into to the video card's memory. That's just to control the video card, you know? I'm fairly certain, as well, that the driver that is loaded is different for the newer FX's and the older TNT cards. I'm fairly certain, actually, that each generation has its own driver set inside these big releases.
I live in a town in Oregon. Qwest runs the phone lines here, and has us by the nuts. We pay around $100/month to them just for two phone lines. We use no long distance.
Plus, their equipment is dated, and it's nearly impossible to get ADSL because of them.
Did you just say that Cisco has a project called "Spanish Inquisition"?
Who would've expected that?
Nobody expects the Cisco... err... Spanish Inquisition!
XP IS NT. The official name for it is Windows NT 5.1.
If you're using gentoo, try this:
emerge ati-drivers
fglrxconfig
startx
Just be sure to use fglrxconfig instead of xf86config or whatever the default x configurator is. It works very well.
(Steve Jobs being #2 with 5%)
Steve Jobs has Microsoft stock?
The access times, I think, are much faster than hard drives, but the transfer rates are somewhat lower. If I remember correctly.
Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!
Precisely.
Or maybe just a splash screen that looks exactly like the blue screen.
There's more than one Mormon church, however. The most popular does not allow it, but ALL of the others do.
Yeah, you summed it up pretty well.

This guy defiled the Mac case with PC components!
And not only that, but he used sub par parts! A KT400 motherboard instead of an nForce2? A 256MB Non-pro video card instead of the much faster 128MB Pro? An aluminum heatsink?!
Yeah, what was he thinking?

No, it means you're in denial.
No, the AMD PR rating shows how fast their processors run compared to the original Athlons. An Athlon XP 3000+ runs as fast as a 3GHz Athlon would.
Actually, Martians are terribly strong. They're simply throwing rocks at us.
I think your spouse is cheating on you with the babysitter while the dog chews on the remote!
Vote libertarian! Break the chain!
You're lucky, then. The 8500 and 9000 are very similar cards, but the 8500 has more shader units than the 9000, making it the superior card.

Windows (NT at least, not sure about 9x) is written in C.
"a cheap PII 100"
Psst... There is no PII 100.

Burn in hell, Qwest.
