I seem to remember another product called Mosaic. Microsoft did something with it, and Mosaic pretty much disappeared. Hmm... Could the same thing happen here?
Why is it that every time we have to hear about Java, it's something negative? I, for one, think Java is a great language. It's quick and easy to develop, multiplatform, and, hey, it's fun! Why not post something positive about Java?
Yes! Spam is no longer a problem if you try to get it. Just make sure you hand out your email address to everyone, post it on websites, make it very easy to get a hold of, and you'll never get spam again!
In the article Schwartz mentions that he will get Toshiba, Samsung and Sony as customers. Does that mean we may be getting some Sun-based computers from these companies soon?
Following that logic, Slashdot should have to pay websites to link to them. I mean, we're wasting tons of bandwidth and transfer because of that. Plus, we cause servers to crash. Don't you think Slashdot owes those websites that it links to?
That's all well and good, but for it to be really nifty, it needs an AGP slot. I mean, a PCI or integrated video card might be "good enough" for most things, but what if I want to game with it?
That will be one horrible day. Why not have native Linux apps?!
I. R. Baboon! I Am Weasel! How about you get it right?
Apple is primarily a hardware business. They sell whole computers, not just the software that runs on them.
On the other hand, Microsoft is a software business. They sell operating systems, office applications, games, etc.. Not computers.
Not just small servers. Small SGI servers. Go figure.
Overlords.
:)
Where did masters come from?

No, no, it's not: "I, for one, welcome this artist-friendly label." It's: "I, for one, welcome this artist-friendly label overlord."
See? You left out the overlord part.
Actually, Microsoft first sold programming languages, then operating systems, office suites, etc.

Thank you for your time!
What if you weight the same weight as someone else who has the couch programmed? It orders you a pizza and has the fridge throw a beer at you also?
I've read the Tom's article and a few posts here at Slashdot, and I was thinking that the P4EE is just the usual FUD from Intel.
"We'll have this processor in a few months that can beat this current processor that's out now -- for around the same price!"
Seems like the usual in the hardware industry to me. Something better is always just around the corner.

Heil Gates!

But that's the beauty of it. You don't even need to use a mouse if you know all of the keyboard shortcuts!
I have but one word for you. It! It, it it!

In Soviet Russia, there is no broadband!
I don't really trust Windows to power my computers.
Did you say Beowulf cluster?
That's all well and good, but for it to be really nifty, it needs an AGP slot. I mean, a PCI or integrated video card might be "good enough" for most things, but what if I want to game with it?
Hello. Welcome to Slashdot.
In Soviet Russa... THE MONTH CAN FUEL YOU!
Err, what? I'm so lost...
Microsoft Windows Forever.
