Just to add something to this comment: although I haven't tried purplera1n (jailbreaking) + ultrasn0w (unlocking) myself, as you would expect from something like this, there are still issues involving wifi disconnection. Proceed with caution!
A Higgs Boson or a Higgs-like mechanism (e.g. a scalar field due to interactions between particles) is essential to maintain unitarity (i.e. sensible time-evolution). Something will be found at the LHC, whatever that might be.
I disagree, you could not really know where something "is" at a given time because there is no such thing as simultaneity in Einstein's relativity. Simultaneity is just a false perception we have because the speed of light is much higher than the speeds we witness in everyday life. For further information on the subject I suggest considering light-cone diagrams.
I believe the article refers to hibernation in the way some animals go into to get through winter, that is you will still age in this kind of hibernation, whereas in "Alien" the hibernation was sort of putting the person in the freezer.
I am not aware of the connection with the Jodrell Bank observatory [http://www.jb.man.ac.uk], however I heard they are actually filming part of the film there, as one of my tutors works there.
Indeed! Hydrogen being one of the lighter elements does not have a long lifetime on the surface of the earth. On the contrary, hydrogen is one of the less abundant elements in the atmosphere.
We ARE running out of time. Consider the rules of conditional probability: The probability of getting a major impact now GIVEN that there wasn't an impact in the last few thousand years is higher than the average probability of getting a major impact in a specific year.

It makes you wonder what will come first, jetpacks or duke forever?

I've read before that learning Latin can enhance your general mental capabilities (owing to it being such a heavily structured language).
Wait until you see Greek, or ancient Greek for that matter

A little bit off-topic but it's nice knowing right?
driving that is, I just got home from a long drive
How about a system that electrocutes you to prevent drowsiness while sleeping?
...The silmarils!
Well if it was $1,250,699 I would start to get a bit suspicious...
Conservative and scientist usually don't go together IMHO, so you needn't worry about that!
Shell out an extra $599 and get him a SCO license
It's kind of like Zeno's paradox, so don't worry, calculus has solved that problem.
In soviet russia, screws work the other way around... oh wait, they do!
