I really think the price competition started a long time ago. I pay $50 a month for flat rate (land) phone service, includes unlimited domestic long distance. I've known quite a few people who didn't have land phones at all. I don't think that number portability will have all that great of an effect.
Now, if they could get 911 calls to trace to a location on cell phone, they'd have something.
Also, with the exception of maybe Germany, I think that those nations all have a very high piracy rate... MS loses money there anyway. What those nations are saying is not "We intend to stop buying your products", but "We intend to stop STEALING your products".
IANAL, but I don't think that ignorance of a law is a defense at all. If "putting an open machine online with the intention of having it compromised" were illegal, it wouldn't matter if you were negligent, ignorant, or had alterior motives: you would still be guilty.
Right, right.. I can see the windows update entry now-
This update corrects an issue where the end user has specified some search engine other than the default msn one and will also correct browsers whose home page has been mistakenly set to something other than "www.msn.com". -- 2.8M
You are wrong! I fit an entire rythm section (members included) into my Honda Civic. A full kit, and a bass rig (2 cabs). If you are a shitty singer you need a damn truck for all your crap though. 20 PA speakers take up some room.
You forgot the software costs, tech support/warranty costs, but yeah, Macs are still a rip off. Better to price what you can buy with $1300, and compare that. $1300 builds a hell of a PC.
Blue is a purely human concept. Therefore whatever I percieve to be blue is in fact blue. If you have a "blueometer" or other device, then we can talk about what color the sky really is.
To use IRM features, businesses will need a server running Microsoft's Windows Server 2003 operating system and Windows Rights Management Services software. The server software will record permission rules set by the document creator, such as other people authorized to view the document and expiration dates for any permissions. When another person receives that document, they briefly log in to the Windows Rights Management server--over the Internet or a corporate network--to validate the permissions.
So, if the server or network is down, I can't access my own documents. Seems a little risky to me... What if I just want to do a little work on the road with my laptop?
In addition the copy is to go back substantially further as its rights at Unix. Besides they are by AT&T under BSD license to have been spread, thus have been freely available and can from there in Linux to have been received.

Firebird is pretty good though.. it has a few oddities, but generally is pleasing to use.
Online music for Linux, maybe?
Dawg!
Better that than translucent fruit colored burgers with "Special Sauce".

You dig?
NO NO NO you've got it all wrong. It's:
In Soviet Russia
The law fights you and YOU win!

SCO/LUNIX is on TEH SPOKE!
I think gnomes are little small guys with hats that show up when you are really, really shitfaced.

You can also get money orders or other cheques that are "Same as cash"... meaning they aren't tied to your identity.
You are not supposed to date 12 year old girls.
Even better, just encrypt your shit before you send it. If privacy is that important to you, there are certainly ways to achieve it.

It IS blue though, and here's why-

Thanks!

I think that would be "hype-ware", or maybe "shitware".
Go Dumples!
