So someone that tells the truth is a Troll?
The video was obviously produced professionally, the video was obviously done with a professional driver (note how he takes corners), and the video is long and boring but simulating video games with its different video perspectives.
It seems many people are fooled both on Youtube and here.
Notice how the release of the OS stimulates the hardware economy?
Think on that for a bit.
By the way Linux works just fine on systems 5 years older than anything Vista runs on. Know what thats called? Smart.
Over Christmas it was almost impossible to find XP pre-installed. Most people who did not know better had to purchase a PC from the major manufacturers with Vista pre-loaded. There is a program in place to "downgrade" the OS, but MS is quickly pulling in the reigns on this.
Get used to Vista.... MS hasnt learned yet from ME, and they will force us to purchase Vista so their stocks will go up a quarter of 1%.
I worked for Charter back in 03 and 04. I noticed a trend before I decided to stop working there. They are self serving morons. They even wanted their tech support to try and upsell someone. "Yeah, um my internet is down" "Okay we can fix that, while you are waiting for the repair guy want to watch HBO for *such and such* extra a month?".
I kindly told my bosses at Charter to shove it up their butt.
They hired me to fix issues, and I was damn good at it, not to bring in more money. By the way, 3 months after I quit (and I saw hints of this too), they moved the tech team from St. Louis to Louisiana or some crap.
Charter has been going down hill since the inet bubble burst back in 02 and they have been Enron'esq since then as well.
"There is good news for PS3 fans, though, as Sony says it will replace controllers if the batteries wear out."
They havent taken into account the crazed gamer types out there that play forever. I guarantee quite a few will run out within a year. Unless their controllers are so crappy people will end up breaking them before the batteries wear out.
Minus the class balance in DAoC, the biggest problem I have is range and CC. I heard that Croud control will not be in as well as no stealth classes. I like these ideas and hope that you can come up with a way to make RvR/PvP fun for all.
My question is, I also understand Colision detection for combat only and for only the oposing faction will be implemented. How do you plan on utilizing this technology in RvR/PvP and will it also have Line of Site added to it?
I think they are not allowing botting in the way they are making the game and buffs. They said that they are working on making it so that people are not so dependant on specific classes like in DAoC.
BTW, if you want to come back, Classic servers have a limitation on distances for buffs. So Botting is rare and almost pointless.
This pen could be better utilized as a utility for the disabled, the blind could use it to learn how to write, could they not? Or it could be used as a tool to help the learning disabled.
IE has been an issue since the destruction of Netscape, its only widely known compeditor. Now that IE thinks they are alone, they think they can develop the web without going through the standards comitties put in place to ensure open dialogue with developers and artists alike.
The word is out, however the normal mom and pop have no idea the browser issues and problematic security holes. The goal now is to educate, and the more people talk, the more the issues are heard.
Fight on my brave Windows fanbois, fight on.
Yah, I wondered if others had that install problem. I tried to install it twice, (took me 30 minutes each time) with out the CS option... to no avail.
Also, I thought the stuttering problem was related to the game saving. As I remembered some of the times I stuttered, and when I died and had to revert to a save, those were the times I stuttered.
Hhmm, anyways... Valve did a lot of good, a lot of bad, and a lot of annoying people.
Anyone try the SDK stuff? Buggy as hell as well.
You are gullible for thinking people are smart enough to not be made a fool. So, wanna send me some money?
hehe, seriously though, if people were not protected from themselves, they would turn into the middle east.
There is a fine balance governments must cover in order to preserve the world peace and the economy that flows through it.
As we saw in WWI and WWII, things can get out of hand quickly and unexpectedly. In WWI, the assassination of a prince caused two unstable factions to go to war. Because Austria/Hungry could not win, they called for help from Russia. England and France said dont go Russia, but Russia went anyways. Then in came France and England (of course other countries fought too). In WWII, people did not want to go to war, at all. WWI was believed to have stopped it all. So, people tried negotiation and pacts and what not, that didnt work either. So, in your statement, which is very broad, but obviously pointed at the USA, you say Governments cause wars? No, one man caused WWII, one man caused Vietnam, one man caused Iraq.
Terrorism is caused by one man as well. Terrorist leaders exploit stupidity and belief. What really causes Terrorism? Idiocy. What really causes wars? Idiocy.
What is the USA president? yah
Plz dont vote for Bush, because he is a patriot, and an idiot.
I paid for Windows 95 back when it first came out. I am not paying for bug fixes, so Im still waiting for what I paid for... Windows XP... still waiting.
Linux however, I can not complain about. Since I only pay for the internet connection to download it.
You wanna know why people pirate Windows so much?
BECAUSE IT SUCKS YET WE ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE IT.
Gamers are screwed until Linux steps up.
This steam crap really irks me. Why the crap do we have to pay for a game, then, to be able to play it online we have to pay a monthly fee?
Just another way to try and gouge the consumer...
Yes, all I ever wanted to do on an online MMO was grind... yup, nothing else. Grind grind grind grind grind, woohoo so much fun it feels like work! But instead of getting payed, I pay them, sweet!/sarcasm
Im pretty sure I never stated, nor implied that MS had outsourced this. I asked if they did.
Nice over reacting by an MS supporter. Too bad MS didnt do this on security issues.
Outsourcing a problem?

I really would like to know if Microsoft has an outsourcing company working on this project. They openly admit they outsource parts to outsourcing companies, why not this?
If this is the case, it is very easy to see why Microsoft has so many problems with security. They have no control over the hires, no control over the code (you can review it, but thats a lot of code), you have no control over security of the code.
I sometimes wonder if people purposly put in backdoors or buffer issues to allow this to happen. A unhappy coder is a dangerous coder, and lets face it, if you work for an outsource company, you probly are not too happy. I sure wasn't.
ISPs will take the brunt of this issue on the phones. Once SP2 is released, ISPs will be innondated with calls asking why their software doesnt work. And believe me, those answering the phones will be annoyed.
As a former ISP tech, I have had to deal with the MyDoom, the SQL worm, and all the huge viruses that hit two years ago. Luckally, there have not been any major virii released since September of 2002.
However, the first person the people call is always the ISP, its not because they dont know whom to call, but because they know they can get advice for free.
Reviews are all well and good but the publics view of browser alternatives is skewed to the point of lunacy.
I had post on another forum, the article about the Homeland Security people suggesting people not use IE. The replies were your standard "Yay" and "Boo", but at least one person post that they did not want to switch to another browser because it is viewed as an "anti-social" or "not main stream" browser.
I can see how many people are scared to go else where or try something new. It is something that has been embed in our social society for a very long time. (Well, after the 60s or so)
So, work on your co-workers, if homeland security comes up in conversation with people, bring this up.
Work on getting the virus that is IE out of peoples computers!
In the case of MS, its a travesty.
Wheres the anti-trust lawsuit when you need one?
Who still has the biggest market share in the OS?
Who needs to think up new things to compete with an ever growing threat?
Both MS and Linux have their strong points. MS is usability, Linux is scaleability and "fitting to the needs of the buisness/user".
Where should MS take this and where should Linux take this?
Its obvious the answers, but the hard way is the road less traveled, right?

Thus the reason the industry is adopting Blu-Ray. Good job on being suckered into the VHS of players.

Isnt exclusive selling or limiting the selling of a product to one company/outlet known as unfair trade practices?

Yeah, god forbid age old economics were to play in that price with need and availibility.... Jesus people are so selfish.
