But Judeo-Christian ideas are a vital component of western secular law. In that sense religion has contributed much.
All of the commandments in the bible save the first three were secular in nature. The Chinese, Greeks, Pre-Christian Rome, Indians and many other civilisations had a lot of the same laws before they became 'judeo/christian'. I think it's time to stop the myth that a bunch of secular laws are based on some magical creature's decree. It's insulting to say that humanity can't figure things out on its own.
Just kidding. I think it's funny how close the word 'Ori' of Stargate is to the 'aurai' (wind spirits) of Greek mythology. Of course, Stargate feeds from mythology so probably not coincidence.

There are more frustrating places in the game. The room full of hash-marked saw blades with two gate switches that must be pulled and you must run to the door. The jumping puzzle (ACK) to get to the architect's office. The spinning blade bars you have to traverse. The Tower of spinning knives you have to climb (where I'm currently stuck)
If this game had less of these (and the BOX ESCORT QUEST AARGH) types of umm mild fucking frustrations, I might consider re-playing the game. But after getting through them (most of which you should NEVER put in a 3D game) I don't want to go through them again.
The Dreamcast version of Namco's Soul Calibur was 100% in-engine end to end. It's possible, developers (and their ad agencies) are really lazy.
It infuriates me to no end that PS2 and X-Box games pre-render content, especially since that's eating up space that can be better used for more textures. I think the Nintendo folks got it right: make a disc small enough that pre-renders eat into the game.
Apple Computer was founded in Los Gatos, California on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, to sell the Apple I personal computer kit at $666.66. Apple Computer, Wikipedia
Something is coming out that day, may as well be something people have been asking for. I'm hoping Apple finally figured out how to make tablets better somehow, and will release one for their 30th. Failing that, the 30th anniversary Apple I would be great too.
"The Fifth Element, Desperado, Hitch, House of Flying Daggers, Legends of the Fall, and Terminator."
Terminator has such a terrible print, that it would be worthless in HD. T5E is almost a 'reference' disc, especially in Superbit. It's about the only movie from that list worth getting in any form from that list, too. Everything else is a 'rent'.
"Theory" is a watchword for followers of YEC that means "you can safely ignore this as it's against your (read our) beliefs. We know that Natural Selection is a theory, but it doesn't stop the master debators for the YECs from bringing up the fact that it's "JUST a theory," as if a theory is something science pulls out of its ass. The YEC people want you to associate the word "theory" with words like "conspiracy" or "harebrained".
If they label themselves Republican and act in this manner, then they are Republican regardless of your disqalification. Also, the people voting for Republicans are not the in the same same set as those in office. The parent post refers to the latter, and not to you personally.
I think the 360 has some good titles out (among those mentioned above, I'm salivating for PGR3) but yeah they had to get machines on the shelves. The local games stores are telling me there's going to be a shipment at the end of the month that will not be going to pre-sales since those are almost all fulfilled. I'm still going to wait a month or so to get a.1 or.2 revision box because the original xboxes had issues with both power supplies and dvd-rom drives.
Yes, because blizzard WANTS TO support all the distributions out there. I bet if there was only one Linux there would be WoW for it. It's not FUD to say that Linux is fractured among two main desktop environments, two major X11 implementations, and more distros than I can count. Mac OS X is supported because there is only one.
I certainly hope the expansion just lets you go to outland and some of the locked sections. wowwiki has a list of unfinished areas on the current continents, and it would be a shame if we had to pay to go through a gate. Karazan's castle, for example, better be part of a patch, because a lot of us have been waiting for another undead instance to play through, and it's in the middle of the eastern kingdoms. I could imagine trying to gate and it would say "you didn't pay us $50, go away."

Yeah, browser search box > *
Does he remind you every day that he's "almost 7"? Remind him that he's "almost 30" when he turns 29 ;)

Please don't put it in the game section then. I have MS news turned off for a reason.
Actually, in Iraq and other places today, this is still valid. See also: "Honor Killing"

You mean ZG? ZF isn't that taxing at all.

Tell that to people who don't own a PSP. Then it makes no sense at all.

But God made the Bible because Bible says so because it's the inspired word of God —The bible tells us this! Don't you understand?
