I don't think he meant to say bring the system down, because that's pretty stupid and we don't have a backup plan (rip it down to put it back up WTH?)....

ANYWAY He is agitated like I am at the FBI for their complete incompetence, we already eroded our right for them and they still FUCK UP. The track record of the FBI is they consistently do more harm then good (anyone heard of them going after the guys who wrote Louie Louie for subversion?).

you would be stupid to pay ;) They offer a custom lineup option in every recevicer (so you can edit out the 250 channels of PPV and the 100 or so of music). The only thing you cant do is edit the order (like if you want to put all of the p0rn channels right next to comdie central)

(Off thread)Dish also has a new program running for the p0rn, which allows you 3 hours (and if you have the PVR, an investment :D) of viewing on all 5 adult channels.....

(Off-thread again!) But the dish network has the worst mpeg-2 compression I have ever seen, horribly blocky when pumped thru a S-video port.

You do know that most banks (read: legit) do this service as well, and your money is protected with the famous FDIC insurance program. I trust paypal as far as I can throw it. Any program that "acts" like a bank making money off the interest of money in the accounts (and they do, and they still make more when your account is frozen! Banks aren't allowed to do that!!!), yet claims its not is not something I want to deal with much.

Yes but buildings aren't constantly evolving and revolving of capitalism At one point it's still a box containing stuff you sell. People will still come back and 1 day hit is minimal at best to finances. (Ex: You sell bred. Your store is closed down. Your bread will still be there tomorrow) Online service companies OTOH have contacts to hold up. They must compensate for when they are down on their end. ( Ex: funnywittyp0rnname.com sells a service, they having income coming in and must continue to provide services at any giving time on the internet (for people um, who want porn at 3:30 in the afternoon). No porn, that guy now has to break the law and download for free of kazza. Net loss both parties (Legal porn, source of revenue))

Standard TV's, while big are still outdated. My monitor is bright, large and less eye damaging then your average 24 in TV. (To be fair the xbox does theroticly support 1080i but you could not seriously play a game like halo on that setting. the reality is its can handle 720p)

    10. Controllers. They aren't the best input devices for every game. Have you tried playing a FPS on console?

    11. half-decade self life's. Face it. Consoles are going to die out ever 3-5 years. That's a 300-400 dollar investment in one shot. Some systems are slowly letting you play older games, but that may or may not catch on. Current unsubstantiated rumors of the xbox2 all indicate that Microsoft's going towards a largely proprietary system then glorified pc.

    12. Different systems. Hell you don't know what's going to be around in a year or so. Sega, 3DO Atari all died out leaving everyone high and dry... Plus now that games are shipped to all 3 systems which one do you get? The game cube get systematically jew'd with options that the Xbox and ps2 get (example: XIII. Of the 3 systems Xbox got xbox live support and downloadable content, ps2 got a lot of multiplayer features, and gamecube got nothing).

    13. Content lockout. I don't know about you. But I know I can buy a game from Europe and know it will play on my PC here in America. Not so with consoles. Either physical or software lockouts inhibits us from buying from other regions (say Europe or Asia) in attempt to preserve profits. The only modern system i know that doesn't lock people out is the gameboy...
