I'd make a change, though. IT's not money, it's PRIDE that seems to spur everything. I've got a Zune HD, and other than the gigantic amount of apps available to the ipod touch, it's great. I like the form factor better, the battery life is good, UI is easy, sounds good. Actually much smaller than photos led you to believe. Screen is bright, works well, synchs easily with my PC. When I bought it , my primary motivation was size ( it's smaller than the touch) since I planned to use it at the gym, but now that I've had it for a bit, I'm happily surprised at how well it works. I'm nothing but impressed, truthfully.

It's an interesting thought. I admit, I'm not really comfortable with huge celebrations when someone is killed, but I'm way out on the West Coast, and don't have as close a tie to people who were directly harmed by the 9/11 tragedy. That being said, put a gun in my hand and Bin Laden in front of me and I'd have shot the guy. I'm also willing to say that, had close family or friends been killed, I would probably be celebrating more as well. The atmosphere of logical contemplation tends to wear off when you're closer to the pain. I'm curious though. What about Religion going away would make you celebrate? What is it about religion differs from your admiration of Bin Laden ( after all , religions are often willing to "stand up for it")

This is fine, as long as everyone is held responsible for their actions. But in some cases, someone will do something stupid ( like gamble away their retirement) and them promptly demand someone else support them so they don't sleep on the street. There are times where people get treated like babies because allowing them freedom results in greater harm all around. And no, i'm not advocating this ALL THE TIME, just in some cases.

I used to work at a Ski and Sports shop in the Early 80s, in Southern California: Sandy's Ski and Sports. We had a bunch of ski bums that worked in the shop, and if you walked in they'd set you up with whatever you needed, and would give good advice on where to go, etc. After a while, a lot of people would come in, get recommendations, then go off to Sports Chalet to buy for a slight discount. Which eventually drove Sandy's out of business. Eventually this might happen to all brick and mortar shops. and then what if factories start selling direct, and amazon gets cut out ( other than for people to buy, and then return stuff). It's a crappy sort of road to go down.
