Except you know, it only takes a couple sidequests to make 10,000 gold, in fact, there are single quests that will give you 10,000 gold (Especially if you don't mind doing the evil thing)
Have you tried any of the more hardcore rhythm games? DDR/In the Grove are far from easy. If they aren't your style take a look at Beatmania IIDX, It's coming out in North America in march I believe, it's supposedly one of the most insane difficult rhythm games in existance. Stuff like Guitar Hero, donky conga, etc tend to be pretty tame.
Keep in mind DDR/ITG/IIDX make up a very, very, small percentage of games. 99.9% of the games out there are disgustingly easy and pose absolutely no challange. There are exceptions but they are few and far between. Now I'm off to go fail Utopia hard (yes, I suck).
Xenosaga's problem isn't so much the number of cutscenes as it is pacing. They will throw you into a 45 minute long cutscene and then after that they will throw you into an equally long, or longer dungeon. Basically they throw the same thing at you until you are completely sick of it and just want it to be over.
Personally I enjoy RPG's that have short dungeons and then a short cutscene and some plot development as a reward for finishing the dungeon.
I'm pretty sure that HDDs are air tight. Pretty sure i've read that dust in the air can wreak havoc on the platters. I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure HDD recovery requres a clean room, hence why it is so expensive.
eh, I have one and find it rather uncomfortable, I loves me my Intellimouse Explorer 4.0, only thing I could want this mouse doesn't provide is the little grooves in the scroll wheel for gaming, but I got used to not having them.
Yeah, I don't get what is so great about the X-Box either, I didn't even like Halo. Xbox 360, however, is a different story because Microsoft learned from their total failure in Japan. They are courting a lot of Japanese devs this time around, Square-Enix being a major one as FFXI is a launch title for the 360. I wouldn't be suprised if we saw FFXIII for the 360 as SE is probably pissed at Sony for pulling HDD support. Personally I'm not going to be an early adopter this generation, I want to see where the big 3 are going this time.
They most likely don't care that the game has been pushed back seeing as MS is planning to cause an artificial shortage upon release of the 360 to generate demand and hype.
But what about Canadian slashdotters like myself who live in a country where downloading/making copies for personal use is legal and has held up in court? I also highly doubt that Canada is the only country with laws like this.
MMORPG currency is only worthless if your time has no value. perosnally My time has value, so MMORPG has value to me as well (Not that I have, or will, ever buy gold/gil/whatever online)
I've recently tried out DDR and quickly became quite addicted to it. I'm sure the reasons differ from person to person but the reason I enjoy is mainly the challange and the competition with friends (Although most of my friends who play have skills to the point i'll never catch up). The added bonus of some actual excersize is a nice bonus as well.
As you get to higher levels, you find yourself getting a lot of quests that you won't be able to complete for several levels. Around level 30 I found the amount of game content drops off considrably, and what is there are boring kill x number of monsters quests that aren't any fun.
What I find with mice is they are always too small. I personally think that a mouse that would fit my entire hand rather then 2 finger would be way more comfortable, and possibly better for me. The best thing I found so far was the MS intellimouse 4, but that is still far from what I am looking for.
They are not releasing more copies to retail until they get server issues worked out so people on ebay are taking advantage if they find a store with some in stock. I personally paid $108 Cdn for my copy of WoW.
Except for the fact that most emulators for older hardware are pretty accurate. I play all my old NES games on (A likely outdated) version of fceu and it is just like it was on my NES. And SNES is probably one of the best emulatedgame consoles out there, SNES9X and ZSNES is amazing. Their only major flaws are issues with SDD-1, which I think SNES9X has rudimentry support for.

Actually their being sued by Konami because they made In the Groove 1 installable on DDR cabinents.
Also iamchris4life is every bit as good at arrow stompy games as Kevbo (can't find a single video site for him) is.

Yes, because people who are sweating a lot and expending large amounts of every NEVER get hungry and thirsty while doing so.
Alright, thanks for the correction.

We have the next-generation console developers spewing marketing crap that hardware advancements are going to open up new vistas in gaming
Seems to me like Microsoft is well on their way to that.

Maybe, but who buys a $500 (I'm Canadian) console for a single game?

In the US and Canada it would be referred to as high school.

Of course, people often forget that the best games are great looking AND fun to play.
I only have 3 words to say to that:
Urine Cooling System

Ironically, many WoW players would say the exact same thinig about Blizzard and WoW.

Yeah, I just read the post today, and I have a feeling the release was made just to spite me, i'm sure.
