    less than 200 years ago we came out of what is known as the "little ice age" I'd imagine that this would skew the data just a tad making it appear as if the shift was greater than the long term trend. after all statistics do lie, usually to promote one viewpoint over another. we see this in politics constantly and this is just another lie. carbon dioxide makes up only a small percentage of the so called greenhouse gases, water is the number one greenhouse gas. I say ban water, since we cannot control water vapor we should just ban it. and furthermore eco scientist proposed melting the polar caps back in the 70's because we were experiencing a cooling trend. they just hope people like those on slashdot are not paying attention. the real problem I have with global warming is that a system as complex as the global atmospheric weather system is, we don't have enough longterm data to make a sweeping judgement the human effect has on the system. not to say that it has not effected it just waiting for habeas corpus

    we did this as an assignment for a network security at the small community college I attended. as long as the students are gathering information and not launching an assault whats the big deal. though I have to say that the college considered all the students to be security risk and so forced us to stay of the campus net during class. they would also pay close attention to anything we did when we were on the network

    as far as it went the Legend of Zelda on the nes was aboout the pinacle of graphics in those days after all the nes graphics are what made it win out over the atari and company. but I do agree a good game needs good game play more than good graphics or at the least the need to compliment one another.

    you could get an agp card that had firewire builtin so if you dont have firewire or a free slot there is your chance if you can find one

    I saw a feral chicken this past summer what a sorry looking mess that was. nearly got itself killed crossing the road (not a joke). if the original wild chicken;predomesticated that is, was anything like that bird then we are better off without having to avoid one more stupid species while driving, oh and I'll have mine extra crispy with a side of mashed potatoes and a biscuit thank you

    possibly but more likely the virus is unable to reproduce, or mutates into a different form perhaps a less virulent strain emerges that effects other lifeforms. or maybe small samples remain but in a controlled environment like smallpox. I am not a microbioligist

    actually like any disease of this nature the survivors gain an immunity to the disease and at least to some extent pass that to offspring or at least the proclivity towards immunity if only because a certain gene sequence exist in the survivors that was resistent to the disease

    while boron is not scarce it still is not as abundant as hydrogen so perhaps this is why other scientists have not put as much effort into it

    my thought is since plants use carbon dioxide why not pass it through a system containing algae or some other prolific vegetation perhaps bamboo in a controlled situation you'd just need a little light a voila' reduction of emission plus you can rot it to make methane or if sufficiently pure process it as food

    on the shores of lake Erie here in western new york they wanted to install an array of electric wind mills but the bird lovers had a coniption fit that it would lead to the death of large populations of birds. yeah right the only things stupid enough to run into them are the bird lovers if a bird hits it tough luck

    almost every point of sale terminal i have ever seen uses x86 its a cheap and relatively compatible architecturegives them the option of using dos, linux/Unix, os/2, windriver or the like at a releively cost effective level

    that first is an image of a calcified or silicified fossil spongiform the second is an image from a geological cave feature both are being made to look like images from space using black backgrounds and slightly filtered color lenses . just a little of the conspiracy theorist in me speaking
