I'm wondering how they will spend that money - I realize their development costs were well over 10 mill in the first place, but I hope some of that goes back into new ventures.
To quote the aliens on the Simpsons - "Third party candidate? Go ahead and waste your vote!"
In the regular season, a game can end in a tie of no one scores during the overtime period. In the playoffs and superbowl, they just keep adding overtimes until someone scores.
How can a Star Wars Trivia game even be possible, when the movie changes every few years with each new special edition and home release? The dialog keeps changing, entire scenes are added and deleted, even the actors that voice the characters (e.g. Boba Fett) change!
Back in the day, Timex Sinclair computers were going for $100.00. The price kept dropping, to about $10.00, until finally our local mobile gas station was giving them away for free with an oil change (I'm serious!). So, I guess the answer to how cheap a computer can be is "zero". Of course, that was before Microsoft's dominance.
I wonder what they consider "promised money" though. I signed up for their email list - are they considering me a "promised customer" and counting on my cash already?
Look at it this way - the movies have now strayed so far from the originals - 21st century special effects, inserted actors, etc. - they are essentially remakes of the original movies. Maybe someday in another 50 years (after Lucas is gone) the original "lost footage" of the 1977 version of Star Wars will be "discovered" and reissued, like the recent reissue of the original (or whats left of it) "Metropolis"
Back when the internet was even younger...

Say 15-20 years ago, any type of commercial activity, including advertising, was pretty much banned. If someone so much as tried to sell their car on the internet, they whole on-line community would come down on them for "spoiling" the sanctitiy of the free exchange of intellectual discourse. Now, of course, the exact opposite seems to be true - nothing but e-commerce and advertisements.
After all, ever since 9/11 I have to show a photo ID to rent a movie at Blockbuster. Never really undetstood that myself. Do they think terrorists are out renting movies and not returning them?
I thought those phonebook sized magazines went out years ago. I knew they were shrinking and shrinking over the years, but I haven't actually seen one in ages. My one claim to fame (sad!) was a letter I had published in Computer Shopper Circa 1989. Something to do with the Atari ST.
Come on - it sounds like the British were just having a bit of fun with this survery, and were not answering it honestly. Gotta love that wacky British sense of humour!
It sucks as much as his last several movies. Don't get me wrong, I have great respect for the man and like so many others loved his early stuff - but nothing lately (Witness "Men in Tights") has been nearly as good.

"We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Our droids are hard at work bringing the system back on-line. Please try again later. "
Cute.
you know, like in that old Springsteen song "Blinded by the light - Wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night..."

Jabba should not have been in ep. 4
What were they thinking making Hayden whatsisname the ghost at the end of jedi?

You are, of course correct - but I was just giving a simplified version. And don't forget dividends, which are not included in Retained Earnings!
Sorry, had an accounting midterm last week...
D'ohh! Good thing I don't have the money!

And I claim dibs on all future "Prey I don't alter it further" jokes.
If Lucas is only 40% happy with the original Star Wars, then I want 60% of my money back!
Boooooooooooo!

I think Mr. Lucas does it mostly to piss us off.
Who read this as "Russia mocks mars mission" ? I thought they were making fun of the US again.

Simple - an infinite number of monkeys at an infiinite number of typewriters! "It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times..."
In reference to Buzz Beer (they had the concept years ago!) - "Stay up so you can get drunk all over again"
Homer: Well, here we are at the seminar
Bart: What an odd thing to say.
