Your hardware is only as old as the software you're running. If I can find a less bloated OS to run on older hardware with all the features I need, then I don't feel the need to upgrade. Most of my machines are 7 years old. I got them all as hand-me-downs from people "needing" newer hardware to run the latest OS. Like me, most of them don't play games and really only need a web browser and an office sweet. I love it when a new OS comes out.... chances are I'm going to get a better computer for free.

If used properly, GOTOs can still leave the code readable and maintainable. Besides.... We've all been using GOTO's under different names. In C++, what do you think the 'case' statement or the 'break' statement is? It's essentially a GOTO. Still readable. Still maintainable. Bad programmers will leave code unreadable and unmaintainable regardless of whether or not they use GOTOs. Good programmers can use GOTOs with no problems.

Oh, it certainly works if you do it right. 1) Make sure that you cover the entire glass surface inside and out with spit. 2) Rinse lightly. If you rinse out the entire saliva film, you will fog. It's the film that prevents the fogging. 3) Dive immediately. Leaving it more than a minute or 2 will cause fogging for some reason. BTW, I have 12 years of diving and over 800 dives without a fogged mask :)
