If Im moving my desktop from Debian to suse, why would I look at arch? I looked it over, it seems even less automated than debian does. I want automation on my desktop. I have debian running on my servers, thats enough work without throwing in the desktop machine to.
A few days ago I installed suse on a blank hard drive to find an alternative to debian for my desktop. I was impressed by the hardware detection, but yast was slow! It took forever to pull up. I tried mandrake to, I wasnt impressed at all. Is yast slow for everybody, or just me?
During the Iraq war buildup, they were talking about how you can use camares and sattelites, wireless communications and hud to allow you to see around buildings, mountains, etc it was VERY cool.
Why did you not stay with them? Im curious, Im a long time Debian user (after slackware) and Im almost thinking about installing mandrake lately but I want to know wh y you jumped ship.
Since the 3.2.1 packages have come out, I cant think of any it doesnt render properly. The fonts are still way to small but I think thats more due to the debian sid packages. Slow? WAY faster than mozilla on my system. Some web pages it still hangs on. Crashes are pretty much a thing of the past.
The post office is not a federal entity, it is a privately owned business. Just like the federal reserve. They have some kind of relationship with the feds that allows them to operate the way that they do. Thats the extent of my knowledge on this subject, you might want to google the rest.

I think the problem is that you did business with Sprint. I work for a cell company (i wont name them so you dont think Im trying to sell us) but ANYBODY is better than sprint. You couldnt possibly get worse coverage. Cricket (ghetto cell phones) get better signal then they do. Look at a different carrier. Better yet, talk to the people who have cell phones in the area you use your phone and ask them. Thats the best way to shop for a cellular carrier.
Um, my dvd burner does. It has to shrink them because dvd5 is 4.7 gigs, and dvd9 (normal) is somewhere around 9. But I have the menus, chapters, dolby 5.1, captions, extra languages, etc. Some movies are small enough to copy without compresion. Aside from having css removed (and anoying copyright notices that you have to sit through for 7 minutes) its an exact copy.
The secret service nailed me back in 1998 for phreaking (ATARI RULEZ!!!) and took all my machines, and LITTERLY every single piece of paper with any number written on it. I eventualy got it back a year later, but didnt get any of my disks back.
Christmas is not a christian holiday, they just like to claim it is (like easter). Its the solstice holiday. On 12/25 the sun starts to ascend on the horizon signaling the rebirth of the earth. All of the gods are born on 12/25 because of this. The solstice holiday has been celebrated even before judism was created.

What are you talking about? On Debian I just added the mod-utils (or whatever it is) and compiled. Nothing more.

Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics"
1: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2: A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
What about the Cherokee? The Seminoles? The Choctaw? Ive never heard of this Hindi tribe.

I work for a cell company, and your answer is no. Your contract somewhere will state that it is transferable.
My company runs on CDMA, never heard of quadband Im gona have to check it out. You right about the lower range, pound for pound the signal is better.

I cant remember where I heard this, but it went something like 'its not a principle until you stand up for something you dont believe in'
Your opinions are wrong and ugly, like your emotions!
