And it's because of this that Capcom ported Dead Rising 1 to Wii instead of working on Dead Rising 2. Meaning we are being punished with a minimum of a 2 year delay cause of casual gamers. I can never forgive the Wii for this as Dead Rising is my favorite game of all time
XNA is horribly crippled though, you only have access to one core, no ethernet, no USB. And the programs are compiled at run time. PS3 Linux has virtual memory access, and access to all hardware except the RSX. And you can have accelerated graphics on PS3, there are ports of OpenGL to the SPUs
If you'd stop gorveling the diseased schlong of PS3 hype for 5 minutes,
Don't talk to me about that when you need to stop groveling at the diseased schlong of revolution hype for 5 minutes yourself
maybe you'd be able to "come up" (no pun intended) with your own conclusions on why physics and AI are unlikely to change at all in this generation
Sorry but I've already read developer interviews about how AI for PS3 LAUNCH titles is so advanced it can't be done on current gen consoles OR revolution.
I've seent he games you're talking about, they aren't like Kinetic or Antigrav. Thus, Eyetoy was used in new ways, which makes it innovative
The only thing Sony did was attach it to a PS2 instead of a PC, and market the hell out of it.
Coincidentally, thats what MS did with XBOXes harddrive and it was innovative, and Nintendo for rumble/thumbsticks/wireless/etc and yet those are considered innovative
In short, we keep innovations on console different from PCs, otherwise nothing is innovative.
I'll agree with your whole addon versus standard mentality, but that doesnt make eyetoy any less innovative. I'd prefer a normal control be standard and the unique one relegated to backup.
You've got to understand that Third Parties are really excited about the Revolution for reasons that Sony and Microsoft can not understand...
Actually Sony does understand. They made eyetoy afterall. They too were going for the innovative new control methods. Nintendo doesn't have a monopoly on innovation.
MS doesnt understand because they had had a revmote like device in the works and claimed the testers simply didnt like the idea being it. They were told by gamers it was a bad idea, now nintendo is being told it's a good one
I suppose they won't look as good graphically, but that did't stop people from purchasing inferior looking games on the PS2
Yes it did, anyone with an XBOX bought the XBOX version.
Also anyone following the REV should've known this already, it simply uses the same chips in cube at a faster speed ensuring backwardsc ompatability, and easier development learning curve
Awww.. poor wittle sony fan bought a crappy product.
Which product would that be? Ive been happier with a PSP than with every handheld I bought before it. Oh, poor little nintendrone is jealous Sony fans are happy with their superior product
"If you think mech sims and light gun games are all the Revo has in store"
No, gimmicks. The kind of games I wouldnt want a library to mainly compose of. I think anoncoward just used those 2 as examples.
"same way you've turned a blind eye to what's been going on with the DS."
No, Ive paid attention, and most are a bunch of minigames, or based of some small concept not worth buying a game for (pacpix) which have been referred to as glorified tech demos.

"Yes, it would be nice if everything we bought was unlocked, open, hackable, and mod-able to the nth degree," That would be PS3
PS3 is even cheaper, just install Linux

Actually it was
Various PC
But not console.
came (with) those same games

The Xbox comment is bullshit.
No, but your comment was
Why is Nintendo getting off scott free?
Not on Earth. On this Earth, XBOX sales numbers are about 5 million ahead

Except PSP already has great battery life, and better screen than the SP
Yes it did, anyone with an XBOX bought the XBOX version.

Nintendo isnt supporting HDTV cause for one reason its not widespread enough, bt they'll make up their own more expensive less widespread display? No.
Actually no. Sony has made more than Nintendo this gen, than Nintendo has in the bank altogether.
Then play DinoStalkers for PS2, with a guncon in one hand and a dual shock in the other. You'll stop thinking FPSs will be better on rev after that
The internet is saving the rainforest.
I dont understand that statement, the closest to a racing game Ive bought was Twisted Metal.
The problem is, I bought PSP for its games
How the hell did that get modded flaimbait? I did have a PSP in march, and I have seen them cheaper since then, what was wrong with that?
Awww.. poor wittle sony fan bought a crappy product.

Oh no! Someonew responded to you in a message board, what ever shall you do? Its not like you were seeking a response or anything.
No, gimmicks. The kind of games I wouldnt want a library to mainly compose of. I think anoncoward just used those 2 as examples.

HOW is that possible? According to Nintendo you need a funky controller for anything to be innovative.
Lunar 2 and MGS3 both have made me cry
