It's not as simple as the photo kiosk you mention. Without a big, complex hard drive caching system, you will be their for 10-15 minutes while you download each track, burn them onto CD or DVD and pay. That's assuming that you are downloading smaller compressed files and not huge wave files...

Not really. Even though some newspapers would like to make out there is an epidemic of crime, there really isn't. Crime has been decreasing for about 5 years overall (however, the ratio of violent crime has been increasing). The main trouble is 'yobs' who are around 15-20. They will have been kicked out of school and they terrorize the 'working class' areas - throwing bricks, riding motorbikes around, stealing cars and basically destroying everything they can get their hands on. However, the govt. has been working on this and now have 'anti-social behavior orders' which can be used to arrest these people who would usually be hard to arrest because of the petty nature of the crime. I live in a middle class area, and in the 7 years I've been here, there has been about 2 burglaries in the whole area. That's the only crime that I can think of...

Well I can fit my midi case and my TFT monitor in just fine to most desk areas... also, all I need is a lead to my monitor, keyboard, mouse (both of these could be done via Bluetooth) and speakers and I'm set. A 802.11g PCI card handles networking.

The best thing that has happened is stuff being integrated properly into motherboards. Most motherboards now have a good sound card, networking and modem built right in them... most people I've built computers for only have the AGP slot used up in them, and the nForce 2 with it's built in Geforce4 MX can handle 2D and some 3D work well...

The reason is that in 1998 the linux desktop sucked. Look at it.
