  1. Galactic Civilizations on In Space No One Can Hear You Sigh · · Score: 2, Informative
Galactic Civilization (too lazy to google the url) is a great turn based game that can provide hours and hours of fun. You can only choose one race, humans...but the games can last into the weeks if you make everything huge with hard AI's.

Your mileage may very on my second reccomendation, Space Rangers. It's made by a Russian game company but I do hear this month a British based publisher will be released Space Rangers AND Space Rangers 2, to the rest of Europe and America. I played Space Rangers and it reminds me of a turn-based top style privateer. You buy and sell materials, can attack and raid ships, buy new ships..equipment, etc.

I reccomend you google up each respective game creators site and check em out. It's a shame there hasn't been that many really good space games out, as those are my favorites. Ever since Origin Systems was bought out by EA and decimated by them, things have sucked.

"Terra Prime," will be a direct continuation of "Demons," scheduled to air on the 6th of May. In this episode, the Enteprise tries to stop a human isolationist leader, played by Peter Weller, who's threatening to destroy Starfleet Command. ... "These Are The Voyages..." will be set six years after the other fourth-season episodes, and will see Archer and the rest of the crew return home for the decommissioning of the Enterprise, as well as the signing of the Federation charter."

Isn't this what the fans complain about? That B&B completly disregard trek history. If I remember correctly, wasn't the federation formed in reponse to the end of the war between us and the romulans? Further didn't that happen like 50+ years after Enterprise? Correct me if i'm wrong...

This is an airport where there's a chance very dangerous people can do something. Yes, the 9/11 hijackers did have valid ID and they got through, but the issue is chekcing for valid ID's are better than nothing at all. It angers me that elitists like this feel the need to screw around to prove their point. 'Oh god, they check for ID at the airport, the next step is concentration camps!' This is really a story about a guy with too little brains and too much time on his hands. Nobody is getting hurt, and it's very little inconvienece to hopefully make the airlines safer.

Then in a week or two they will release that new P2P file sharing program the have had in beta for a while? Seems like a good enough marketing campaign as a lot of Torrent users are students, or kids, and Slashdot may not be their source of information, though this story did find itself on the front page.

  10. A cult? Puhleeze on The Cult of Mac · · Score: -1, Flamebait
Macs and Apple products are just liked by a group of people, hardly a cult. I'm starting to believe that a minority of Apple users try to propegate this stereotype of Mac cults and absolute devotees. I know plenty of mac users and for them it's simply a tool. They may like a certain Apple product over something else, usually because Apple does put a little extra either in features of looks, but they aren't obsessed with Apple itself. I think what we see is a small majority of Apple users, and this small majority is the portion that actually contributes their "philisophies" onto the net. Eventually people believe that this minority speaks for the majority.

Apple is just like any company, but it's only a company. Today, tomorrow, a year from there, there's a chance, albeit slight there won't be a company anymore. Twentyfive million people won't be killing themselves in the street chanting "Give me Apple of give me death!" Face it Apple users, you're just consumers, Apple isn't a rightous power, a church or even humanitarians. They're a corporate machine, just like IBM, Cisco or GASP even Microsoft. They make a product and you buy it, that's all. So to that minority of Apple zealots, get a damn life.

Well they might, but not for a while. San Andreas is technically GTA 3.2. They use the same GTA 3 engine. Think of Vice City and San Andreas as large expansion packs. Possibly when GTA 4 comes out on the new consoles with a new engine, they might open up the old code, since by then it won't be a big issue.
