Now if they start to make Pong or Tetris RPGs, then I'll start to worry.
lets see, for pong, each game you win, you get some experience. as you level up, you can choose to increase you skills such as spead, bouncieness and so on. every few levels, you can also choose feats such as get bigger, shoot, get magnetic and so on. actually, it sounds like it could already exist, considering the amount of pong clones

i doubt industry would invest a lot of money into space if they cant get any money back, and right now there are few things that can really make enough money to return the necessary investments. although, i guess quite a few companies would like to have their symbol on the moon, as a permanent add

Would it survive 50% less articles? did you notice there seem to be less dupes around? guess what'll replace SCO stories I mean, this is addictive stuff, dude! I dont wanna go cold turkey!:p well, i guess you could go back to bitching about microsoft
we might not apply all new knowledge to the computer industry, but researchers at IBM probably do. hint if you didn't bother to read the sumamry: this was developed by IBM
you shouldn't take quotes out of context. most of the songs downloaded on kazaa are poor quality mp3s, so the people get 'a crappy quality song', at least in comparison with whats on CDs
however, no matter how often a song is downloaded, its quality wont change, unlike copying from tapes, or other analog media
no, that looks like 2 molecules with 3 hydrogen and one oxygen atom each, wich doesn't really make any sense. i guess what you mean is H302, which wouldn't be right either, but would (apperently) have the right proportion of hydrogen and oxygen atoms
The very idea that a "Western" RPG can't have an engaging storyline is complete bollocks. Certainly Morrowind doesn't have the most engaging plot, but what about Planescape Torment or Fallout?
i wouldn't say Morrowinds story is bad, its just that it isn't forced on you. if you really want to understand the world it plays in, you'll have to read lots of (in game) books and talk to otherwise useless people. if you just do the main quest and a guild or two, or think the only use for books is to increase your skills, you'll probalby miss alot i agree that Planescapes story is better though

yea but while there are loads of JRPGs out there, there sort of the same. i mean, i when i play the newest FF, i usually know at least 80% of the plot in advance, and its not the type of game i want to play twice. actually, with the newest FF, i thought it was more of an interactive movie, with the game parts being anoying sequences you had to play to get on with the story
that would be fine with the RIAA. if only nerds could share music, they probably wouldn't care. well, they might care, but not enough to do anything about it. what really causes a problem for them is that 9 year old girls are able to find any song they want
they cant wait till its done, and then anounce it. many people will only buy a few games, each year/holiday/whatever, and if they dont know their favorite company will release something soon, they might buy from the competition. in this case, if H2 comes out first, many FPS fans will buy it, and might not need a second one shortly afterwards, since they probably can get loads of H2 mods for free. if they have been waiting for D3 for a year, and think its only a month till its out, they might wait for that instead
I don't want my computer to be used to store somebody's kiddie porn.
pretty hypocritical, isn't it? i want free speech about issues i dont mind, but not for stuff i find offensive if you would limit free speech, it wouldn't be very free, would it?
Good: Having the teacher give the give the lecture as a power point presentation with a LCD projector. The slides can then be published on the web for later consumption
Bad: have the teacher try to give a powerpoint presentation, but not get power point, or just being really unfamiliar, and thus slow. i really hate poorly done powerpoint presentations that teachers just done because they feel they have to
i dont think stuff should be made legal just because lots off people dont like it. for example, almost everyone speeds, but i dont think the laws should be changed to allow people to drive as fast as they want
they renamed it when some members of congress asked if spying on citisens might create a few problems. so, the name was changed to terrorist information awareness, and all was dandy again
Q: So let me get this straight, I've read articles on Max that mention Remedy, 3DRealms and The Gathering of Developers. Who's doing what? A: Remedy is developing the game, all technology, editors, art, sounds, the story, etc. have been done at Remedy office. 3DRealms is taking part in that development by helping out on content and gameplay matters, Scott, George and everyone at 3DR are outstanding hardcore game developers and we really dig working with them. The Gathering is our publisher and will eventually ship all those Max Payne boxes to the shelves with Take2 handling European distribution.

this site seems to have user reviews, althoug all the images seem to be broken for me
pc some more
lets ask google, shall we?
first, we get this site, about typing on a normal keyboard with one hand.
then this one, which shows a few one hand keyboards
also theres this kind of academic looking paper about half-QWERTY.
